The Nordic Mug’s from David’s Tea are very cute. I saw the whale one and my ‘must have that mug’ alarm went off. However seeing it was a Nordic Mug, I did not even consider it. I’m really disappointed in the Nordic mugs. They are really expensive first off, but when you need to have a mug, it doesn’t matter in this price point right? My real issue is the bottom. For me, it feels tippy. I don’t know why, but I feel like if someone bumps it at all it will spill. So until the bottoms are flat, I’m out, which sucks because the size is right. On the flip side to that, the ‘Perfect’ Mug isn’t perfect either – its too small. Put the base on the Perfect and leave the Nordic flat, and I’m a happy camper David’s!
Well, I got the 3 little Christmas ornament pack. At the 40% off, awesome. I can use the little balls to put things in next winter. :) The tea however, I will say isn’t happening for me. It smells great, but its got that Rooibos fuzziness afterwards I just don’t like. Steep this one lightly, and enjoy it for what its worth, but I’m likely not going to buy more. I’m recommending it because if you are alright with the rooibos then live it up!
Tried this again this morning cause I wasn’t sure how something with cherries and pineapple could have been rated so badly (51) by me. I’m loving it today. Who knows why I hated on it before. 1 tb of sugar and 1/4 cup milk today. I’m out, so I’m going to get 50g next go round I think. I spend way too much money on TEA lately.
This one is sweet smelling, like if you ate a bakery.
I’m trying this with milk, although I suspect it may need sugar.
Smell: It smells really good! I have peppermint teas in my stash, so I reluctantly bought this, but upon first smell, I’m impressed!
Sight: Its a beige tea for me.
Taste Slurp: I could probably drink this without sugar, although I’ve come to associate the mint tea with sugar added. I get mint, and mint backnotes with my slurp.
Taste Slurp with Sugar Addition: This is the way I’d drink it.
Verdict: Is it the peppermint tea victor — I’m not sure. Its different than I expected, but I’m not sure its the best peppermint I’ve ever had. Back in the day I loved Stash’s Moroccan Mint, and I do enjoy Sleeptime as well. I’m surprised at how smooth this tea is. Its a day tea (although at only a rating of 1 on the caffeine scale, its not something super energizing) and the other teas in my peppermint tea past have been herbal (I think.) Either way, I don’t think its special enough to reorder. I think Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime is more complex perhaps, and maybe the winner of the game, although in the end, this tea isn’t a disappointment either.
Reorder Factor: Slim, too many other peppermint choices out there, and I’m not specifically a mint person.
This is a milk with optional sugar tea.
Smell: From the bag, it was blueberryily good.
Taste: I haven’t tried sugaring this but I suspect it would taste lovely. I can get what I need from it without the sugar though, which is nice.
Verdict: I may buy a tin for this, but I’ve got an order on its way, I feel a little tea poor at the moment. ;)
