Outstanding! This is one of my favorite breakfast teas. Strong, malty, and earthy—but there is a bit of bitterness to it. A splash of milk and a spoon of sugar take care of that, and turn this into a great way to wake up.

Definitely going to buy this one again.

Delicious! My favorite breakfast tea – I add a tiny splash of milk and a few grains of sugar to make my mornings. Somewhat rummy or malty, and though I don’t drink, I’m told it goes quite well with irish creme.

The mouth feel is, truthfully, a bit thicker than I’d like. That’s the only major drawback to this otherwise fantastic tea.

drank Birthday Tea by Adagio Teas

First, a note: this was mixed 50/50 with Adagio’s Currant tea.

I tried this plain, and it was too bitter and tannin-heavy. I added some sugar, and it was still too bold, so I tried a splash of milk. Perfect! The currant flavor masks a lot of the overpowering nature of Birthday, so the vanilla came out as an overtone very pleasantly. Still relatively one-dimensional, but hot and sweet and perfect for a birthday.

This tea tastes much like fresh strawberries, but the apple flavor really helps. Unsweetened it’s wonderful, and I tried it with a small amount of cane sugar, which made it taste like homemade strawberry jam.

My free sample (thank you twitter!) arrived today, and so I naturally had to try this “sneak preview.” Very jasmine-scented and -flavored, it has almost no notes of the oolong base. First steep – 180F, 4:30. Second steep – 185F, 4:15. Third steep – 175F, 3:45.

I’ve actually discovered that a shorter steep gives more flavor. I haven’t gotten mine yet, but I love their Jasmine #12 at 3min so maybe give that a try. A temp of ~200 might be better as well.

I tried it today (3:00 @ 200F) and it was much better.

drank Blood Orange by Adagio Teas

This tea is pretty mild, but has a very good flavor. Tart, and tastes just like a blood orange. The liquor is beautiful, and the smell inside the tin is remarkably strong.

Tastes like a strong mixed berry blend. I love this tea, and will definitely pick it up often. I’d imagine very good as iced tea as well.

I keep ordering this because it’s a great wake-me-up for the roommates and myself. Strong bergamot flavor – but not overpowering – and almost caramel notes. A splash of milk and a spoon of sugar make this tea perfect.

A great tea. Very light and refreshing. I enjoy it mixed 70/30 with Peppermint especially.
