Browncoat Genmaicha from 52teas
76

I received this from the Traveling Tea Box Pass B that momo wonderfully set up! I finally got to a sample today as I got out of work early today. This smells like a Krackel or Nestle Crunch bar. Yum! I could smell the roasted rice and popcorn as well as the chocolate cacao nibs. So delicious!

I must be out of my mind to be drinking this hot, but I wanted to try it out so badly. I love genmaicha teas, especially the stronger tasting ones. This one has a nice base to it. The dark chocolate runs in and out of the picture and lingers gently. This is a good tea to drink on a cooler day (like autumn, winter, or early spring). This is a delicious blend by 52teas. It goes down smoothly with a bit of astringency at the very end of the cup.

I wonder when I am going to deliver! :) Anxious and excited. I am going to buy some red raspberry leaf tea today.

Chocolate Orange Bliss from Ovation Teas
Momoko from Lupicia
73

I cold brewed this overnight in the fridge using just one teabag. Today, it was a highlighter yellow color! I felt like I was drinking something radioactive!

It is naturally sweet and I love the floral and peach tones in this tea. It is refreshing. I am thinking that some people may not like this tea cold, but I think it is good! Not one of my favorites because I usually like my cold beverages to be fruity or to taste like plain tea.

Spicy Chai Latte from Trader Joe's
95

This is so delicious! I made a cup of Spicy Chai Latte this morning for breakfast with hot milk. I haven’t been drinking a lot of tea these days. I am 37 weeks and I’m on the last few weeks! I can’t wait for her to come! :) I will probably be getting back to tea drinking afterwards. I love the blend of spices in this tea coupled with the sweetness. I haven’t tried this cold, though I imagine it would taste good!

I love this tea! I was happy to find this at the Mitsuwa near me! The packaging is super cute too.

I love the thin green leaves and the small pink flowers in this pyramidal tea bag. The smell is great! I love peach teas, and this one is a very good blend. I could taste the warmth and creaminess that the vanilla flavors give. The fruity and slightly floral notes play their tune as well. Delicious and refreshing!

Masala Chai from Adagio Teas
87

So this morning my husband wanted to treat me for brunch. We made our way to pancake house; however, the parking lot and place were PACKED. I remember seeing “The Tea Bar” closeby, so we decided to stop in instead. I was happy!! SO many teas lined the walls and there was an all you can eat brunch as well.

We ordered this tea for brunch, and they served it in the IngenuiTea. If I had to make my guess, all the teas they sold were Adagio Teas. This one tasted like it. They didn’t put that many leaves, so the brew was lighter, which was great for us. My husband was happy because he didn’t feel sick and he loved the taste. I loved it as well. The flavor was light and spicy, and I could drink two small cupfuls of it. :) Delicious and great morning!

White Tea Pomegranate from Tea of Life
67

I cold-brewed this tea again. This is now in my top 5 cold brew teas! So delicious, refreshing, and light. I love the slightly sweet berry taste to it. It isn’t tart either. mMmm.

Chocolate from Adagio Teas
59

I finished this up this morning. Thank you darby for this swap! Good tea overall. I don’t think I would be purchasing this tea. It isn’t the kind of chocolate I am very interested in. This is delicious with milk and sugar though.

Decaf Tea from Tea Boutique

Bi Luo Chun Green Tea (Pi Lo Chun) from Teavivre
81

So I found a little rust in the inner edge of my electric tea kettle. I am so upset about that. What do I do about it? Should I toss it or is there a way to salvage it?

I finished this tea up. I used a pot to boil water and make this tea; however, this tea tasted strange after steeping it. This is a good tea overall though. I love the dry leaf that is furry and curly.

Keemun Black Tea – Grade 1 from Teavivre
64

This is a nice, soft Keemun. It smells like the cocoa, malty scent that Keemuns possess. I brewed this for 2.5 minutes, which I think is long enough. It is a little bitter and astringent in my mouth. It was a honey brown colored brew. The taste is lighter Keemun, which is nice because sometimes Keemun can have an overbearing malty almost metallic taste in my mouth. This one doesn’t leave my mouth that way. This is a nice Keemun, but not my favorite.

Coconut Pouchong from Golden Moon Tea
100

This week has been busy for me but this is a backlog. I love this light tasting tea. So fruity and refreshing with no astringency.

Guang Dong Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Tea from Teavivre
96

I really love Dan Cong oolong teas. This one is no exception. I love this tea. The first steep was a bit difficult because it brewed a deep golden amber very quickly. So, it was a little bitter. The flavors weren’t that pronounced. The second steep, on the other hand, was beautiful. It was a light honey color. The leaves smelled delicious like peaches. I love the fruit and slight floral tones in this tea. The lower the temperature, the better tasting this is. It has some roasted and warm components to it. This is a darker oolong.

This is a great tea that can withstand several steeps.

Spicy Chai Latte from Trader Joe's
95

I went shopping at Trader Joe’s this afternoon and stumbled upon this. Normally I would pass by the chai mixes in stores, but this one caught my eye. Perhaps its a craving. I wanted it so bad. When I got home, I heated some milk and added about 3/4 of a scoop of mix. I was in heaven. This is arguably one of the best chai latte’s I have ever had. It is sweet, and so sinfully good. MMmmm… I want more, but I am holding myself back! It isn’t too spicy. It has the perfect blend of spices – cinnamon, clove, cardamom, anise, ginger, vanilla. mmm….

White Tea Pomegranate from Tea of Life
67

This is delicious cold! I cold brewed 3 tea bags. This is so refreshing and fruity! Yummy!

Bi Luo Chun Green Tea (Pi Lo Chun) from Teavivre

Earl Grey Green from Adagio Teas
46

I cold brewed this one and it was so disgusting. bleh. I had to throw away the whole thing :(

Chocolate from Adagio Teas

Backlog: I haven’t had much time to go on steepster, but I have been drinking this tea in the mornings before going to work.

assam gingia from Culinary Teas
82

I opened this package today! It smelled so good dry! Malt and cocoa are two things I love in life. The leaves were twisted and dark brown. Since I haven’t been brewing teas for long periods of time, the liquor was a bit scent-less to me. When I drank it, it tasted like good Assam. I detected maltiness, slight fruity notes, and some cocoa notes as well. It was still strong, so I added sugar and skim milk to it. Delicious and easier to drink with the additives, which I usually like to use when I’m drinking assam teas. I imagine that this would be a good base for blending teas or making chai.

Banana Cuppa Chocolate from The Republic of Tea
67

This tea blend is okay. I like the banana notes, but they seem a little artificial with alcoholic type scent… like an banana-scented ester that I made in high school chemistry class! I noticed the chocolate, which helped the banana a little bit, but not enough IMO. This is good with a little milk to subdue the banana notes. Otherwise, I don’t think I will be purchasing this beverage in the future; however, it is a good beverage for bedtime just because its rooibos.

Cochin Masala Chai from Culinary Teas
95

I keep telling myself I am going to make this over the stove-top, but I haven’t been able to! I have been so busy with work. Anyway, I had this before going to work yesterday. :) Delicious! I love the ginger bits in here.

Vanilla Chai from English Tea Store
74

So these English Tea Store chai blends are not as strong as I hope they would be, but it is good anyway! I have been brewing it Western style, so maybe thats the problem. I will use the rest of my samples for the stove. This is a decent cuppa tea to accompany breakfast. The vanilla flavor is very light, but this blend is nice and creamy.
