Brewed this plain today. Delicious. Anise stands out just a touch. Lovely taste and caffeine-free, which is what I need for tonight.

Smells really good and spicy, and not in a overwhelming cinnamon sort of way. From the outside of the bag, it looked like green tea since there was green dust around it. Once it was steeped, it turned a dark brown. Delicious blend especially with milk and sugar. It was a little too bitter for me plain. The blend of spices is great. One of the best bagged chais I’ve had IMO since it wasn’t too spicy.

This was a much needed comfort tea. I had it this morning. Sweet and yummy! Tastes creamy even without the milk.

My kitty just died yesterday so my tea drinking was put on hold. This was the only tea I drank yesterday. I am so devastated. Any tea suggestions for lifting my spirits in some way?
Evening beverage. I had a very rough day… our cat is in acute renal failure and he’s in the animal hospital :(

I had Lapsang Souchong this morning. I had received this in a swap off of teachat a few months ago, and I wanted to wait until my tin of Bamileke was finished (I have at least 2 unopened tins left – Amazon has those deals). So now that it was finished here it goes!
WOW. My expectations weren’t that high since I wasn’t a huge fan of Bamileke but I eventually became accustomed to the Lapsang Souchong in the blend. This one, standing alone, was unexpectedly delicious! It was smokey and smooth without tasting or smelling like bacon. It smelled like a wood burning in a fireplace or a firepit. I love that smell! It was slightly sweet but maybe it is because of the sweetener my boyfriend put in there.
Last night he asked me, “Why do you love tea so much?” I don’t know… I just do! It makes me calm and I enjoy those quiet and peaceful moments with him and when I’m alone. :)
Thank you Caitlin for sending this sample! This one is interesting. I decided to try this tea without looking at the reviews or description. My initial impressions were about appearance. I saw rooibos and chunks of fruit perhaps. The smell was so faint and slightly sweet. Upon steeping, it was a nice red brown color. It tasted sweet but a little tart. I got a warm feeling of vanilla seeping through the mix of sweet and fruit. I really love rooibos and vanilla combinations.
Overall a decent blend. The fruity tartness threw me off but it wasn’t very powerful which was good.
Had a pot of this tea after rotation today. Tomorrow is my last day of my rotation! Woo! I had a bad day today so the spearmint really perked me up :)

I finally got around to trying this sample that was sent by Meghann. This is by far the best coconut tea I’ve tried. I love coconuts but artificial coconut flavors bother me. Anyhow I love the huge flakes of dried coconuts in this blend. Smells so delicious. The steep was a honey brown color. It had a smooth sweet taste to it. It didn’t need any milk or sugar but I decided to add them after a sip without. I am a sweet tooth. Great tea blend and a great alternative to the real thing – coconut cream pie. Now I want some real coconut cream pie.
I “room-temperature brewed” this tea this morning in my huge water bottle to take to work/school today. I had call. This was quick and easy to do, and I’m not much of a morning person. I love the lemon scent and light flavor. Its interesting how lemon grass makes water turn dark brown after a while. Why? I nearly finished the whole 32oz water bottle save for maybe 4oz. It isn’t appealing anymore but it still tastes the same.
Drank this today also and finished it all up. I love the curls of this tea when its dry. Cute :P Delicious and malty.
