I made this spiced over the stove today. Boiled water with cloves, cardamom, black peppercorn, allspice, cinnamon stick… added sugar and some African Pride Tea! Then added a lot of milk and let that simmer. :) SO delicious. I love making and drinking this tea. Spiced chai made over the stove tastes the best IMO.

This tastes a lot better when steeped for about 2 minutes. I added a packet of brown sugar. I ate baked sweet potato with this, and it tasted great together. The spices were more subdued compared to when I steeped it for longer. Also, I could taste the black tea better.
This is the second Keemun I have tasted, and I prefer this one. The flavor isn’t extremely strong, which I like. It has a nice nutty and malty scent and flavor. :)

I mixed this with Rishi’s Houjicha. I had a pretty rough day and wanted to feel happy, warm, and toasty so I figure that this mix would fix me right up. It sure did. Drinking this mix feels like a friendly hug :)
My parents came to visit me today and surprised me with this tin of tea! It was so sweet and thoughtful of them! I had never tried Zhena’s Gypsy Tea before, though I had eyed it several times at the grocery store. This one is a special holiday blend with a really cute and festive tin! I love how it says “Happy Holidays” in several languages on the tin.
Of course, I couldn’t resist and opened the tin to get a whiff of it. Hmm… smells so delicious! It smells sweet, refreshingly minty, and spicy. I couldn’t wait to try it! The sachet is round just like RoT’s sachets and has no tag.
I boiled water in my kettle, and since its a green tea, I let it sit until I can barely see the steam coming from the spout. I don’t have a thermometer, so I like to guess the temp. I steeped it for a little more than 3 minutes.
Wow smells so good! I can make out the cinnamon, cloves, and mint. It felt like a party in my mouth! It went down smoothly, and the mint wasn’t very overpowering, which is great. The blend is very refreshing. On my way in, I could smell the spices. The scent is strong and sweet. When I drink tea, I like to take my time, and even as it began to cool off a lot, it still tasted good. :) This will last me a while since there are 22 bags. I have to say… THANKS Mom and Dad!! :)

I’ve officially run out of this Lichee tea. This time around, I did not add any milk or sugar. It tastes just fine, but if I had oversteeped it, I would have considered adding it. Dry, there is a vague hint of lichee. I smell mostly the black tea, which is how I like flavored teas to smell like. After steeping, it smells rich, and the lichee is very faint. The color is of very dark honey. When I swish the tea in my mouth, I can appreciate the lichee flavor, which is nice. It tastes a little bitter, which in my opinion, it doesn’t ruin the experience. The aftertaste is pleasant but left my mouth a little dry. I suppose that happens with some black teas I’ve had. Overall, I like this tea. I wouldn’t buy it again, but it was worth trying for sure.

Felt like I should bust out with the pumpkin spice today. Steeped for 4 minutes. I definitely taste the spice, which went well with some milk and sugar. Not much pumpkin, but this tea was still delightful to drink this morning.

WOW! I was in the mood for something spicy! I heated some skim milk and added the chai mix. I let it steep for a long time (more than 5 minutes) and added some brown sugar. How divine! It is so delicious and hit the right spot! I’m off to sleep now =)
Steeped this for 2.5 minutes. Smells nutty and warm! This is great to sip on while snuggled under a warm blanket.
