1622 Tasting Notes
I bought this online from Teavivre a while ago. I used all the leaves from one packet, but I could have split it into two or three parts to use later. Keemun is not particularly my favorite black tea, but it was one of the first loose leaf teas I had ever bought. This tea is actually very good. It is smoky but not overpowering or ‘in your face’. It is a little woody and has a hint of cacao in it. It is ever so slightly astringent, but it is VERY smooth. In fact, I didn’t add any additives to this tea at all. This was a pleasant and good experience and a great morning brew.
Flavors: Cocoa, Dark Bittersweet, Malt, Wood
Yum! I love Adagio’s blueberries & cream (I think it was a custom blend). I haven’t ordered it in a long time because of my enormous tea stash, but this was very refreshing reminder. Yssah sent this to me a long time ago during a swap.
I love the warm and creamy blend with the hint of blueberries. The blueberries wasn’t tart, and for that I love this blend so much. I don’t like tart.. well too much tartness is not good. This is excellent especially with milk and sugar. The flavors come out more. This is a good dessert tea!
Ginger is very strong alone. I usually make ginger and black tea blends by cutting and crushing fresh ginger and boiling it. I haven’t tried this alone yet, but since I got sick, I went to Fairway and saw this in a teabag and decided to buy it. I brew this with black tea (Red Rose Tea) and it is perfect. It is just the perfect amount of spicy ginger that slightly stings my tongue but soothes my throat and stomach. It blends well with the black tea. I am not rating this yet until I try this alone.
