9 Tasting Notes
An above average iced oolong.
ehhh. Decent and definitely not great. Much cheaper Ti Kuan Yin at better quality is all over the internet.
From my experience Jasmine Oolong is tough to find, so this one is the only one I’ve tried. It is a very good tea (don’t over steep or it will get bitter/ more jasmine). I really like it as a summer iced tea after some intense yard work. Very refreshing. But I can also drink it hot throughout the day at work. It does have a strong jasmine profile (so make sure you enjoy jasmine) but very tasty especially over time as it grows on you.
Complex flavor profile. One review was dead on with “lightly steeped black tea”. I only steep for 3 mins to keep it more like a white and less of a black tea flavor.
Excellent! Soft, sweet and creamy delicious. Best green tea at Teavana.
Very smoky over bearing flavor. I’m not a fan, but I like the slightly sweet and subtle greens.
New version is complete overkill. The old version had a very subtle sour candy cherry flavor that I loved. It was a nice accent to the white base. Will not purchase the new one again. Horrible bitter / sour taste (1-2min steep) and way overpriced.
Solid Oolong from Teavana. I thought Six Summits was slightly better before the introduction of the raspberries pieces but overall the fruit flavor is still subtle. A very versatile tea than can sub as an every day hot or iced. The price is a bit high for what you get though, as is with many of the teas from teavana. Overall though, probably my favorite teavana tea. I don’t like to go over 3 mins on steeping with this oolong.
Above average green tea. Definitely a smokey after taste but the flavor overall is very subtle. I steep about 1 min. This is the only Pi Lo Chun I’ved tried, so will try from other vendors to compare.
