Just cleaned most of my bathroom and almost all my kitchen and needed to take out trash…there’s my maintenance guy neighbor out in the breezeway, smoking, not wearing a shirt, and talking on the phone. And when I open the door I get the “wtf are you doin” look. Now I want to pour bleach on my eyes. God it is so nasty that he smokes RIGHT near people’s doors rather than on his own damn patio. I’d say something but everyone who works here is constantly out smoking when I’m at the pool so whatever. At least I can’t smell it from there and you know, it’s not practically in my apartment/kitchen.
So yes. I cold brewed a pitcher of this last night. I didn’t let it go too long, maybe 10 hours, because I didn’t want it to get too floral or too tart. It is perfect. I get a bit more peach from this now, but it’s still predominantly strawberry, jasmine, and hibiscus. I do get a bit more of the teas in here with this longer, cold steep too.
I think if I made it hot it would end up way too tart for me but I really like it cold brewed. And it’s definitely refreshing, because cleaning means getting hot way too fast. Despite having just gone outside, I drank half a cup that’s been sitting out for almost an hour now and I feel like I never went out into the humidity.
