As a hot tea, it tastes like hot fruit punch. It’s a bit much. Because that was a bit much, I didn’t want to just pour it over some ice after that. I ended up cooling it off and then pouring it into water, 4:1 water to tea, I’d say. It makes water more interesting to drink, but holy crap it is way too sweet for me as tea! Of course if super SUPER fruity is your thing, you’d love this.
Since it does have a bit of that sangria aspect to it, I imagine using it with club soda, and tossing in some berries in a pitcher would be a delicious take on sangria without the alcohol. But really, as tea, I just can’t.

Thanks for the heads up.

also want to throw out there that out of the seven berries, only 2 are actually in the tea and 5 are flavorings. and there’s plenty of hibiscus to go around.

I was actually looking at this one in the store today and comparing it to the Opus Rouge that I did purchase earlier. They look very similar. I had a bit of the same problem with the Opus Rouge, it’s super tasty, but not exactly what some would call tea.

momo

I bought that one too. It smells a lot more interesting than sevenberry, but it sounds like I’m gonna need to mix them to get that tea aspect back. At least if Opus Rouge is like how it was described I will be content with it, this one I hadn’t been too sure about.

Oh I totally agree about the smells. I just smelled this one again in the store yesterday and in comparison it’s a bit boring. How many of the new ones did you get?

momo

Just those two, for now at least. The acai mate one sounds interesting, and I may splurge on the Golden Mojito if I see good things about it, I love the Blackberry Mojito green tea, it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever gotten from them.

The acai mate one is awesome! I smelled the golden mojito but wasn’t blown over by it. Maybe later I’ll try it out. I haven’t had the blackberry mojito green one, but now I’m pretty tempted!

momo

Good to know, I am definitely going to check it out! Blackberry mojito was my top choice for iced tea this summer, and it’s pretty good hot too.

I have to admit, lots of these would probably be perfect iced, but I need to come up with a good way to do it b/c I haven’t been very successful.

I have had the most success and gotten the best flavor out of cold pressing. The tea can’t get bitter that way, and in the case of the blackberry mojito, it really helped the other flavors come through. Just takes a little overnight planning. I have this bookmarked still because it’s super helpful for all the different methods to take: http://store.remedyteas.com/page/Iced+Tea

Oh nice! Thank you I’ve never heard of that method before. I know lots of people like just adding ice, but that has never gone well!
