969 Tasting Notes
Thank you so much Courtney for sharing some of your precious Bavarian Cream with me!
This is one of my favorite matcha flavors now. Really good and creamy and vanilla-y :D
It has been a really long time since I actually ate anything filled with Bavarian cream, but it seems pretty spot-on flavor wise!
Thank you Marzipan for a sample of this tea!
This is quite good chocolate tea. So many of them I have tried were artificial tasting, or not paired with a nice base tea…this one is good though! Not quite as good as Fauchon chocolate eclair, which is my favorite, but definitely one of the better ones I’ve had :)
Yay! I am finally trying this guayusa! It has intrigued me for a long time. I requested it as a sample with my Butiki order a while back and kind of forgot about it. I probably should have chosen a more wintery day before it was in the 80s outside, but oh well.
This is really good! I can actually feel the spicy! It isn’t TOO hot though. It isn’t making my eyes water or anything, heh. The tingle feels good on my allergy inflamed sinuses and throat :)
Tastes nice, too. I am drinking it plain but it would be nice sweetened. I’m going to give the other half of my sample to my husband because he loves spicy stuff! I would consider ordering this in the future, for sure.
Thanks Garret for a sample of this with my recent Mandala order!
This is the 2014 harvest. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such large FUZZY white tea leaves! This is seriously some fluffy downy stuff :) The kind of tea you want to pet like a kitty!
I may have slightly underleafed this for my tastes. It is so hard to measure big leaves! This is a smooth, creamy white though. Light but with a rich earthiness. Creamy hay may not sound appealing but that is what it reminds me of. Sweet and summery :)
Butiki educational traveling tea box #2
What IS this??? I’ve never tasted anything like it! It is fruity, has some faint malty notes, and vaguely reminds me of a ceylon black or a Darjeeling? I am perplexed! Quite tasty though whatever it is and I never would have guessed it is a puerh. It is light amber colored and not very dark brewed up.
Today I am off work, and having fun with the Butiki educational tea box #2 while I work on carving a new block print. Just finished 5 half cups of different first flush darjeelings http://twitpic.com/e2lpl1
Next I am trying puerh #7
Trying to decide if I want to do a side by side of all the Kenyan teas in the box this afternoon :)
