1111 Tasting Notes
Sad Sample Sipdown! Thanks again Terri!
I’m definitely going to order some first flush dragonwell next spring. Not sure from where yet but the stuff is DEELISH! I’m ambivalent about regular dragonwell though. It’s not bad but doesn’t thrill me like this really young stuff does.
On an unrelated note- I think I’m going to make some homemade matcha and frozen yogurt popsicles this weekend. Doesn’t that sound fab? Oohh maybe I’ll throw in some avocado too…
I enjoyed this sheng today, thank you TerriHarpLady for the sample!
I found the first steep lightly smoky, and all of the steeps sweet and woodsy. Makes me wish I could spend time outside even more! It is so cool and nice outside today for July. Stuck inside in front of the computer for another hour, meh.
Thank you for the sample boychik
I shouldn’t probably even bother writing a note on this yet. I’m numb and not really paying much attention as I drink. I had the last 4 days off work and they were mostly good- I had a very successful art show on Saturday and everything, but my terminally ill parrot took a turn for the worse, and I’m leaving work early today to have her euthanized. I know she is in pain and it isn’t going to get any better.
Anyway, its weird but I am actually happy to be at work today even though I’ve been weepy off and on, it is nice to have something to distract me until later. I’m not really tasting the shu but it is warm and comforting anyway.
WHOA! Thanks for the sample Stacy
This tea tastes like a chocolate donut dusted in powdered sugar! I had no idea an oxidized aged oolong could be this good! The scent of the liquor is amazingly strong cocoa. This is going on my shopping list :)
I was a gawky awkward 13 year old when this tea was picked. How special!
