1064 Tasting Notes
Sample sipdown! Found this one in my desk drawer at work. I think it was from BrewTEAlly Sweet ages ago!
Good stuff. So rare for me to like a vanilla tea, much less one with lavender. A testament to Stacy’s blending wizardry, I suppose! I’d re-order this one but I slightly prefer the Good Morning Sunshine for my flavored guayusa kick :)
Today I’m having a sample of the Oolong version of this tea, gifted to me by kaylee :)
I am not sure which version I like of this tea better. Both are quite tasty! Tastes kind of like Autumn to me. Sorry for the brief notes today, this week has been crazy at work and I just haven’t had the energy to be verbose! Normally I get a few nice breaks during the day to read and write tasting notes and drink a lot of tea which is awesome. Slightly less of that this week, but enough to get by I suppose :)
This tea sample is courtesy of boychik who is so lovely and generous with me :)
I guess I’m continuing with my theme of the day which is TOO MUCH CAFFEINE. I had some matcha for breakfast and didn’t log it, a green tea mid morning, and then some Turkish coffee at lunchtime. Add some keemun to all this and I’m WAY over caffeinated for the day! heh
This is my first “Damn Fine” tea (I think?) and it is damn fine, indeed! Very complex, rich, full bodied and malty yet also has some floral notes on top. I’m not really getting any smoke from it, but I’m fine with that! YUM
I have lots of samples from various Steepsters I should be tasting, but I was really in the mood for this one this afternoon. It is really hitting the spot! It is rainy and a little chilly here, and this is just perfect! :)
Makes me want to make some maple pecan scones tonight, too…heh.
kaylee was kind enough to send me a sample of her custom version of this tea with Organic Huangshan Mao Feng as the base!
Wow this is a completely different tea…I really like this green tea. However, I do strongly prefer the original darjeeling base.
Thank you so much for letting me try it, kaylee!
Gosh I was so busy this weekend I basically wasn’t on Steepster at all! Did I miss anything exciting?
