1113 Tasting Notes
I know a lot of people around here are anti-paper filters, but in case anyone else is like me, and uses them at work for convenience I thought I’d review these just in case.
I recently switched to these after using the David’sTea drawstring cup shaped filters for about a year. I haven’t been drinking much actual David’s Tea tea lately, and I don’t even have a local store to shop at, so I got really tired of having to pay shipping AND paying 10 cents per filter. These Rishi filters were half the price and I found them at a local supermarket. The main reason I liked the drawstring filters so much was that they would not spill out if I just threw them in my purse full of tea on my way to work in the morning. Luckily these Rishi filters are nice and LONG so I can just roll them up! So far I haven’t experienced any purse leaf loss, heh. Also apparently they are compostable, for anyone who cares about such things. If I didn’t use my metal steepers exclusively at home I’d probably toss them in the compost pile, but the whole point of bringing them to work for me is they are super disposable and easy to deal with.
Well, although this is better than the Grape Sencha, I still would have preferred it if I had just ordered 2oz of Sakura sencha and 2oz of pineapple sencha, instead of the 4 flavored sencha tasting set.
It is interesting, this doesn’t taste like apple juice, or apple cider…it’s more like a natural apple candy of some kind. Even though I didn’t sweeten it, it reminds me of taffy or something! Not bad, I’ll enjoy all of these cold brewed this summer for sure. Glad I tried them but I know my order next spring will be different :)

Thank you SO much Amanda Wilson for sending me a sample of this.
I am really enjoying this sheng. Most raw puerhs I’ve tried so far have been a lot younger and more “wild” tasting. They always tasted like spring to me, but this one tastes of summer, full and lush and golden. It still has so much energy. I love sheng! I can taste this one for at least a minute after each sip. So sweet! :)
Yum yum yum…I’ve only got a couple servings of this left. I will be OK letting this one go, because I think it is discontinued, but I will be sadder when Irish Cream Cheesecake changes or goes away, heh. Maybe I’m just over this one because it is no longer pumpkin season? shrug I’m still enjoying it though, especially because it is a particularly chilly spring day :)
Now that’s one fancy breakfast smoothie.
Next time I will do this but with CHEESECAKE matcha!!!
