drank Caramel & Jasmin by Fauchon

Thanks for this one Starfevre!

Man, I don’t know what to make of this one. Its like you dump a cup of black caramel tea in with a cup of green jasmine and drink them together. My brain just doesn’t know what to make of it! :-O

I got this nice bonus surprise sample yesterday in a swap with Starfevre YAY! :D

This tea seems somewhat mediocre straight, which is all I do at work anymore. I’ll have to try it again at home with sugar and (maybe) milk! I bet that would really make it pop :)

Sip down of my Oolong version of this tea. I think I have a cup or 2 left of the Zhen Qu version that someone generous around here sent me as a gift. I’ve really been enjoying this tea but I think when I’m done with it I’ll be happy to move on to something else and not re-stock. Totally enjoyed it though! Just burnt out-ish.

Flavors: Cinnamon

180 °F / 82 °C 3 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Weird timing that I chose this tea this morning, and then saw *boychik*’s post under Misc Sales that they are doing free shipping right now with a coupon code. I only have one serving left! TEMPTING!!! I love this tea’s almond-pastry goodness, but…I really need to continue to sip down what I’ve already got in my stash before it gets out of control. Anyway, if YOU love this tea and want more you might want to get some today!

Flavors: Baked Bread, Nuts

Boiling 4 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

WAIT, the free shipping code seems to have expired YESTERDAY!

sorry Stephanie:( i placed an order last night for Brioche. it was on mind for long time ,happened to check the website yesterday and bum. good offer because i just wanted to get few samples

It’s ok…I really didn’t NEED more tea anyway. This just helped me maintain my buying hiatus :)

Last swap sample from Dexter3657!

This one is a random tieguanyin, and is very lovely! Super sweet, super green and has a nice mineral note! Loving the tang. Very much hitting the spot! :D

Another sample from Dexter3657

Apparently Fauchon teas are hit or miss for me. I REALLY liked a couple and a couple I have been pretty indifferent about. This is one of the latter. Nothing wrong with it exactly, it just doesn’t stand out as anything outstanding, you know?

This seems a lot more subtle on the flavoring than the Apricot…shrug

Super glad I got to try all these Fauchon samples. I know I am curious to try more but hesitant to pay big money for them unless I’ve already tried them and fallen in love like I did with La Naissance!

Almost a sip-down…this one was a surprising hit for me. I’d say I’m going to reorder it soon, but next time I order a flavored assam from Butiki it will be Hello Sweetie! :D

Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML
Butiki Teas

Actually, this one uses our Congou Keemun as a base, though it does have some similar notes to the Assam. :)

Oh! Thank you! :)

Made this into tea syrup for sodas…my husband loves it! I got some raspberry sorbet recently and it tastes just like it. Don’t come to this tea expecting to taste a high quality, fancy base tea. Just expect juicy raspberry deliciousness!

Flavors: Berries

Talk to me about how to make tea into sodas? Cold steep super strong and then add it like flavoring after to the seltzer water? We one of the Soda Streams from my sister, and I’m curious how tea soda works.

I hot steep triple strong and then simmer with 1/2-1 cup of sugar depending on how sweet I want it. Chill it. Then add a couple of tablespoons to a glass of cold soda water!

Great tip!

How much water do you simmer with the sugar?

Graphic artist, printmaker, lover of tea.

I love pretty much every type of tea camellia sinensis can produce. I like herbal teas sometimes but I can’t stand rooibos. I’m recently becoming a puerh addict.
