This morning I mixed half a scoop of this with half an avocado, 4 ice cubes and a cup of almond milk. TASTY SHAKE! The buttery avocado actually enhanced the caramel flavor I think! :)

I got this as a bonus in a swap with CK quite a while ago. I’m already pretty caffeinated, so I wanted something light this afternoon!

I generally like hibiscus…this tea is somewhat bitter though, and I’m not getting any honey flavor. There is a weird artificial element going on here, too. Meh, not very good, sorry! :)

Shh, don’t tell my tea stash. I cheated on it with some coffee at lunch today! I very very rarely drink coffee, but I had to opportunity to have Turkish coffee, which I do enjoy quite a bit. I love cardamom! YUM!

I’m heavily caffeinated now O_o

Sounds like me yesterday. There was pumpkin spice coffee and I didn’t have time for tea that morning.

:D I’d go for a pumpkin spice…and in the winter a peppermint mocha if I need a serious boost when I am out running errands!

I turn to caramel brûlée if I absolutely need to at Starbucks or a hazelnut macchiato

yum, but honestly my favourite fancy coffee is just espresso con pane ( especially if the whip cream is either unsweetened or has just a touch of vanilla syrup). ON the other hand the Starbucks closest to me has a very odd definition of a macchiato. I asked for one the other day and they basically gave me a full foam cappuccino. I still love coffee, though I’ve weaned myself mostly off it. Not like my mom though, once she quit, she couldn’t have more than half a cup or she’d have a migraine.

I love them both!

I haven’t had Turkish coffee but it sounds good!

drank Chinese Flower by Harney & Sons

I can’t believe I hadn’t tried this one yet! I was gifted this tea by a local friend, and just sort of forgot about it, I guess!

I really like this actually. Citrus and floral seem perfectly matched here. Unfortunately I let this steep just a little bit too long so it is slightly more astringent than I prefer my greens. Still totally drinkable though.

What I’m drinking is a sample from Mandala Tea. The package said-

Noble Mark 2013 fermentation tea nugget

I knew as soon as I woke up this morning I wanted to drink a shu today. I’ve been waiting for a shu craving to hit so I could try this sample! It was exactly what I needed. I find it very grounding. There are never any funky or “off” odors or tastes in any of the Mandala puerhs I’ve tried so far! First steep was earthy, and the 2nd steep is similar but a little sweeter. Very nice :)

I’m enjoying a cup of my oolong version of this tea this afternoon. SO GOOD with brown sugar to sweeten it!!!

BrewTEAlly Sweet

OHHHHHH I must try it with brown sugar maybe that will help too!

What steeping parameters are you using? I keep putting off trying mine because I’m not sure how to prep it.

I used about 1tbs for 12 oz, 180degrees for like 4 mins :)

The flavor strengthens as it cools!

I’m really liking the oolong version—wish it was available to repurchase :(

drank White Bubbly Berry by Kally Tea

Here’s Hoping Traveling Teabox

I’m having one of those mornings where I’m overwhelmed by my own tea stash and unsure exactly what I’m wanting to drink. Solution? Finish samples from the Here’s Hoping Traveling Tea Box!

I was pretty unsure of this tea based on the smell. Maybe a bit too candy-like? But the flavor is actually a lot more subtle. White tea pairs nicely with raspberry! I’m not picking out any champagne specific flavors, but perhaps I’m mistaking them for white tea flavors. Anyway, glad I snagged the last serving of this so I could taste my first Kally Tea offering :)

Oooh, first tasting note! No pressure! LOL

BrewTEAlly Sweet was kind enough to send me a sample of this. It smells REALLY caramelly! I’m a bit picky with my dark oolongs. Some of them just feel like something is missing, to me anyway. This is pretty good though, and the caramel flavor is spot on! I’m glad I got to try it but this is not something I would purchase in the future. Hurray for trying all the teas though! :D

Another green tea sip down today! Finished the spring harvest- will open my package of summer harvest now that the spring is gone :)

My favorite is still the Autumn though!

Graphic artist, printmaker, lover of tea.

I love pretty much every type of tea camellia sinensis can produce. I like herbal teas sometimes but I can’t stand rooibos.

Butiki, Verdant, Mandala, TeaVivre and Den’s are my favorite online retailers so far.
