I think the first time I had this one I oversteeped it. I like it much better this time!

Finally brewed this up at home where my variable temp kettle lives, so I can be sure I am doing it right! It is better than the last time I had it, but I think Dragonwell style is one of my least favorite forms of green tea. I’m sure this is a fine Dragonwell if you like dragonwells! I think it’s just too mineraly for me. I can deal with a mineral note along a sweet and floral oolong, but that is 90% what I get out of this one and not much else.

Stephanie

I iced up the re-steep and I actually really enjoyed it this way! Apparently I just don’t like it hot? Weird, but woohoo! I’ll do up the rest of my sample pack iced for sure!

Alysha

I feel the same way about Dragonwells. Everyone seems to love em but they’re just not for me. Glad I’m not the only one!

Oh gyokuro how I miss you when you are away, hehe. I got my package from yunomi.us yesterday! 4 gyokuros for sampling and some salted Sakura blossoms. Can’t wait to try them all!

drank Coconut Matcha by Red Leaf Tea

This is the best matcha! I had it as a frappe late this afternoon to cool off and re-energize!

KittyLovesTea

Coconut matcha does sound nice. :)

drank Pineapple Sencha by Den's Tea
987 tasting notes

Started my day today with a big to-go cup of this iced. Had a tough time at an outdoor art fest with 100+ degree heat indexes today. After this tea I just drank gallons of water till later on when I got home. Glad it’s over with. Probably one of my least favorite art fairs ever!

I made myself a treat for breakfast this morning! 1/2 tsp of this with a small handful of ice, half an avocado, a cup of milk and 2 tsp sugar in the blender. SO GOOD! The white tea flavor goes really well with avocado :)

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Wow never would have thought. I can’t wait to try my sample from you:):)

Stephanie

Have you ever had an avocado shake? My husband taught me to make them. He learned about them in Brazil I think. Sometimes adds a drop of rosewater! They’re super tasty even without the matcha :)

Fjellrev

Interesting combination! I’ve never had avocado in a shake either.

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Never! Rose water??? Love it!!! I just never know where to buy it

Stephanie

Asian food store or international market!

drank Sencha by Harney & Sons

I have no idea where I got this sample sachet from Harney and Sons, but this is not a bad sencha at all! I’m fairly impressed :)

Gosh I love green tea SO MUCH! It’s so perky and green and comforting.

ifjuly

Me too!—which is so weird for me to say because I hated it for the longest time, ha. Yay greens.

Oooh, cool vanilla/minty goodness! I really wasn’t sure about this flavor combo, thank you BrewTEAlly Sweet for sending me some in a swap!

I am picky about my mint teas, but this one is nicely balanced with the vanilla, and the lavender is in there somewhere, but it is not overpowering at all. Very nicely blended and I could sure use the energy boost from the guayusa this afternoon! I still prefer the Good Morning Sunshine flavor of guayusa, but this is a nice change of pace :)

ifjuly

I felt the same way about the flavor combo—seemed odd to me at first—and then found I really dug it because it was blended so well. And yeah the way it’s soothing but also energizing is awesome.
