936 Tasting Notes
Thank you so much Tealizzy for this bonus sample!
I love fruity green oolongs, and apparently Lupicia is very good at them! I am drinking this hot this morning and lightly sweetened, but I bet it would be killer over ice too. Deeeeelicious and lightly floral.
This is my first tasting note from the mechanics waiting room, too, LOL. I have about an hour till my new tires will be installed so I’m chilling with a book and some nice tea :)
It took me a while to track this one down to make a tasting note on it. A favorite local restaurant/art gallery serves a few loose teas, and I always end up ordering this one if I visit in the evenings (post caffeine consumption time).
I like that it has a nice natural sweetness to it. I hate licorice but licorice root seems ok. I’ve had it in other herbals and enjoyed them :)
OoooOoooooh! This tea tastes FANCY!
Very feminine and floral, but not overly perfumey in a bad way or anything like that. The coconut and vanilla and hint of citrus make me think of some kind of tropical cocktail. It is positively ethereal.
Stacy has a real way with these flavored whites. I can’t imagine anyone else pulling off something so complex and especially with the floral elements and all!
I have to say I would have liked more coconut, but that is just because I am a coconut junkie, and not because there is anything wrong with the tea :)
I do taste the coconut though!
Thanks so much Cameron B for the sample!
This is a very cute tea and tasty too! I like it very much but it isn’t blowing me away like it has some of the other reviewers, perhaps because I’ve had quite a few other equally tasty Yunnan blacks :)
Good stuff though! Definitely my kind of thing. Glad I got to try it.
What? No one has reviewed this one yet?? OK, I’ll give it a shot :)
I just steeped up a cup. It smells SO plummy! I can taste plum and the brandy too, and some creamy something or other that my brain is trying to make cheesecake. I’m drinking this unsweetened so I’m sure sweetening it would boost the dessert-like factor, but I like it plenty well unsweetened!
I feel the base is perfectly matched here, and plum is such an unusual flavor to find in tea. Quite interesting and unique!
What a unique and delicious young sheng!
It reminds me of sencha, oddly enough. It is very sweet and sort of vegetal. It has a pleasant and delicate huigan, and is light on the cha qi scale. This might be good for people who are unsure about puerh but really love green tea!
I’m glad I got to try it :)
