966 Tasting Notes
Blech. I made a jug of this iced. I’m getting mostly rose from it. Very little tea or any other flavors. It is a nice, natural rose scent/flavor, but I guess I’m just not into rose tea. I love roses though…one of my fave flowers :) anway, I’ll probably swap the rest of this in a week or two when my schedule is less hectic, so if you’d like to try it leave me a note!
YUM! This is the last of my untasted samples from my most recent Verdant purchase. “Rich” is the first word that comes to mind. I’ve never tried Big Red Robe straight, but now I am curious about that one. The dark roasty teas and cacao nibs are nicely balanced by the cooling chamomile and mint. Man, I think this would be an excellent fall/winter blend. I could see craving it in the winter! Really quite good. I’m enjoying it without sweetener, but I bet a little bit would really kick it up a notch :)
It is unfortunate that I am the first one to review this tea. I really do not like rooibos! I did try it anyway, and I can appreciate the black tea in this blend, and the vanilla/orange flavor, but that is about it. I think a rooibos lover might really dig this tea.
Sorry Laurent! Thanks for the samples though :)
This is a pretty decent as a flavored iced tea. Your basic “tropical” fruit flavor with a decent enough generic green base tea. I bought it because the proprietor told me it was her most popular selection. I actually preferred the Mystic Dragon! But both are fine. These flavored greens are the kind of thing I prefer iced, which is perfect for summertime! :)
This tea smells AMAZING. I’m a big genmaicha fan. I’ve tried a few flavored genmaicha blends from 52Teas, including marshmallow treat and s’mores. I think I prefer this one from Nina’s! The addition of black tea seems to make the blend richer, and I love the toasty caramel flavor! This is the kind of tea I tend to prefer with a little sweetener. Do be careful not to over brew this one, I think I did and it is a tad bit astringent!
Thanks again for the samples, Laurent :)
