969 Tasting Notes
Thanks to Tealizzy for sending me a sample of this! Everyone’s tasting notes on it have made me DROOL! Anyway, I’m amazed at how natural and BREADY this tea is! It really does taste like cinnamon bread but without that artificial taste some flavored teas get. I can see why everyone raves about it. OK, I gotta go steep it again right now… :D
WHOA this tisane is different! The smell of the steeped cup is exactly like a cinnamon roll. Warm cinnamon under sweet sticky vanilla frosting! I just want to keep sniffing it, lol. It tastes nutty, with a warm subtle cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. I’ve always been curious about this tea, but I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much! It’s definitely not something I’d drink very often, but it might be a nice winter evening treat.
Thanks so much to Tealizzy for the sample! :)
I knew this one would be good, but WOW! Regretting only buying a sample packet now. The rice is a little different here somehow than in other genmaichas, but it blends perfectly with the malty Laoshan black! I’m not detecting as much chocolate as the other reviewers, but I love it anyway. I tried this unsweetened and then sweetened the second half of my cup and I loved it both ways. Roasty caramelly goodness folks!
