1032 Tasting Notes
Thank you Tealizzy for the sample! This is a very tasty oolong. I’m not really getting any of the pastry type flavors as described on the package, but its pretty good nonetheless! It is very smooth and floral and not at all astringent. Buttery and vegetal, too. Glad to have tried it, but not rushing to buy more or anything :)
I’ve been hoarding the last few cups of this and a couple of my other favorite Butiki blends. They aren’t even officially in my cupboard! I still have a tiny bit of Maple Pecan Oolong and Cantaloupe and Cream! shh ;)
Anyway, it is a gross rainy Saturday here and I’m at WORK so it is TREAT time! This tea is definitely a treat for me. So creamy and good! Mmmmm, I love it :)
I’ve had this tea since last fall. I think it was one of my first major purchases when I started getting hardcore into teas! Unfortunately I am rarely in the mood for mint in my tea, so I still have probably an ounce or so of it just wasting away in my tea drawer. I really need to organize my tea and maybe put up a swap list of stuff I need help drinking down! Maybe this weekend I’ll get on that.
ANYWAY, this tea really isn’t that bad or anything. It sort of reminds of of a chai in a way. (I haven’t been in the mood for chai in a long time, either! Interesting.) Its really light on the caffeine front too, which is generally very good for me! I get a lot of cardamon and mint mostly. I could use a pick me up this afternoon though so I might choose something a bit stronger later in the afternoon…
