1113 Tasting Notes
YUM! This is one of my faves. Picked up 250g of it in David’s discontinued teas web special (still going on but they are sold out of this one). I’m splitting it with a friend! Even as much as I like it there is no way I could go through that much tea before it goes stale. Anyway, one of my favorite dessert teas. Very choco-banana-y and not artificially flavored like so many of David’s offerings.
So you’re the one who took the last bag! :)
I wanted this one and it was there one day and the next morning when I went to place my order after sleeping on it, this one was gone. The moral is… l don’t ever sleep on it when you want a tea badly. :)
Oh bummer! :( Have you tried Butiki’s Foxy Roxy’s Banana Walnut Treat? It is just as good! Missing the chocolate note, but really damned good sweet banana/nutty tea :)
Yes, I have. Didn’t know they taste similar since I’ve not had the banana dream pie. I’m still looking for a good banana tea. Just banana, nothing else. Monkey fart from 52teas smells divine but the taste, not so much. And I’ve had DAVIDs banana oolong, have giant web sale bag. Good but it’s oolong. I want a black or herbal.
Not bad, not bad! To me this tea is a generic “tropical” white. I personally can’t pick out any individual fruit flavors here. I am drinking it hot but I think it would be even better iced. I’m going to throw the rest of my sample in the fridge to cold brew I think :)
YAY! My Persimmon Tree samples came in the mail yesterday! I went with the white sampler, but after seeing how nice it is I think I’ll end up ordering the green sampler as well. Anyway, this is the CREAMIEST coconut tea I’ve ever had! It makes me think of a coconut pudding. Delicate white tea flavor, too. Mmmm…quite nice :)
I think I need to buy quite a bit more for free shipping, residing in Canada, but regardless, the samplers sound like a great deal. I was planning on buying tons of samples anyway. :)
Blech. I made a jug of this iced. I’m getting mostly rose from it. Very little tea or any other flavors. It is a nice, natural rose scent/flavor, but I guess I’m just not into rose tea. I love roses though…one of my fave flowers :) anway, I’ll probably swap the rest of this in a week or two when my schedule is less hectic, so if you’d like to try it leave me a note!
Classic straight black tea! Naturally sweet and somewhat fruity. There is a tangy wine-like quality to it. I did not expect much from these fannings, but I was more than impressed. That is what I get for doubting Nina’s! Everything is top notch.
Thanks again for the samples, Laurent :)
Happy Friday everyone! Man I love this tea. I am drinking it warm today but I need to try it iced, SOON! And maybe buy some real watermelon to eat, too. So super hot here in southern Indiana right now. Luckily nice and icy cold here in my office though, heh.
