1113 Tasting Notes
I made a pot of this iced last night and tried it with my lunch today. Much better than the cheapo bagged decaf teas I normally drink iced! I’ll have to drink it hot some time and do a more detailed tasting note. I love that it is pesticide free and socially responsible, too! :D
Well, I may have underleafed this tea. I find teas like this with extra large long twisty leaves difficult to measure! Also I’m at work so I know my water temperature was a little lower than it should have been. I will have to explore this tea further with proper steeping parameters! Having said that, I find this to be a very interesting straight black tea. Light and sweet with fruity overtones rather than the dark, roasty/malty blacks that I am accustomed to. I think this tea and I could become good friends but I’m not ready to slap a rating on it yet! :)
I really can’t handle much caffeine but this stuff tastes SO GOOD! I love the grassy guayusa flavor paired with all the lemony goodness. Smooth and well balanced! Perfect when I need something a little stronger and doesn’t seem to give me jitters like too much caffeine usually does. Love it!
Oh man, I am REALLY digging this tea! The primary flavor is strawberry, which being a Butiki blend is of course wonderful and very natural tasting. There is also a not overpowering at all ginger note, and some warm butter toffee goodness that pairs PERFECTLY with the nutty green dragonwell! SO glad I got it! Thanks Stacy :D This one is going to be one I re-stock when I run out for sure.
So excited that my Butiki order came! I spent all day outside in the 85 degree heat at a pretty sweet art fair, yet I still crave a hot bedtime tea. I really enjoy chamomile, and this is a really good one. I am not getting as much citrus as I expected. It’s cool though, pretty tasty anyway :)
Oh my gosh! This is the best herbal blend I ever had! I’ll have to write a more detailed note when I’m not blissing out :) wish I had ordered more…
So far I haven’t met a blend by Verdant I don’t like. I’ll have to order a sample of this!

I was in the mood for something roasty and comforting and caffeinated this morning. This is PERFECT right now. This is my 2nd time trying this tea…I got a lot more rice this time. Tasty tasty! Happy Friday everyone :)
