5 Tasting Notes

I didn’t get a very big or full flavor out of this, but perhaps I didn’t let it steep quite long enough. It was still tasty, and had a nice aroma.

I really like this one, but I make it in an enormous mug that holds at least 16 oz of water. It tempers the licorice flavor nicely.

Enjoyable! I’m trying to get into green teas and this one had a nice heft to the flavor. Not too astringent.

Tasty! I liked the smokiness. I think next time I’ll steep a little longer to bring out the other notes people tasted. Even though I accidentally did longer than ten minutes on my second steep, it wasn’t bitter (the smokiness was greatly reduced on the second steep, though).

I drink this frequently in the mornings (after my coffee) or before bedtime. I don’t add anything to it, because for me the lemon and the ginger are just fine the way they are. It’s pleasantly spicy and really warming.
