I am such a pu-erh fan, and this has become one of my favorites. It’s more subtle than a lot of pu-erhs, lighter flavored, with milk chocolate like undertones. PantherMoon Essentials’ owner, Sumitra, is incredibly knowledgeable about Pu-erhs, and this is one of her favorites too.
35 Tasting Notes
Hey all, using this tasting note for a sweet reason: Loose-leaf tea, for the first time, is featured in DailyCandy’s “start small, go big” competition. We’re a finalist out of thousands of entries. I could really use the tea-drinking community’s support. We need votes! http://www.dailycandy.com/startsmallgobig/the-vote.html Vote for BijaBody in health+beauty. {pretty please?} and send me your address. I’ll send you free samples…xo, Melissa
haven’t stopped by for awhile, but I’m here now! Had this last night with dinner at a great local restaurant, IZA, alongside a fatty curry. I liked it. Enough said…xo
This tea does have a kick to it, which enhances digestion of fats and proteins and assures that your circulation doesn’t get lazy. It is a daily beauty tonic, a gorgeous blend of herbs and spices which have been in women’s health+beauty arsenals for hundreds of years, Eastern and Western. It tastes truly of earth, the ingredients, not added flavoring (there are no flavor enhancements. just good, fair trade ingredients, Pacific-west local when possible, always organic). Yup, I am the one who blends it, and it is the culmination of over a year working with naturopaths, acupuncturists, estheticians, and a gaggle of savvy women…website coming soon…we’ll keep you posted.
different. fun. not a total green tea fan, but fun regardless.
home town brew. can never go wrong with this one. not dramatic good, but good.
sweet, lovely, tart.
man, we are all suckers sometimes. i can’t help but be drawn to “pomegranate” anything cuz I consider it such a powerfood. There isn’t any pomegranate in this. Just flavor. extract city. taste fine, but i wouldn’t buy it. it was a sweet xmas gift: 10 bags all tied up in a pretty ribbon.
I’m a fan. Loose leaf teas are my favorite, and the only reason I ever have bagged tea is because TJ MAxx gets so many and I am a sucker for cool packaging. This one was a gift, and I like it. I’m a fan of benefits in tea, and consider it more important than the taste. The taste of this doesn’t rock my world, but I feel better drinking it than purely delicious blends.
This tea is from my company, and will be available online in the next few months. (as of now, you an request a sample). I love it. But, I’m using this tasting note to tell you about a perfect tea booze companion I received as a gift: http://domainedecanton.com/ If you haven’t seen it, it is a french ginger liquor, accented by tahitian vanilla, and it is wonderful in evening tea. Highly recommend it.
No notes yet.
too much honey flavor.
so, obviously, I have a propensity for spiking my tea in the evenings (it’s cold in montana. rum is nice when it is cold). I’ve had this tea plain and it is fine. But, my dear tea friends, here is a great trick: brew two bags, add a touch of agave and a drop of vanilla, and a shot of dark rum. hello wonderful winter drink.
wonderful. the peachiness is just right, blended behind the tea leaves. truly lovely.
hello added flavors. organic is no excuse for too much. I don’t like when the actual plant material, be it tea leaf or herb, is completely masked by added flavors, and this one is a classic example of it. I taste the flavors of honey, lemon and chamomile, not the actual honey, chamomile or lemon. Does that make sense?
lesson learned. if i want caramely goodness, have caramel. nice enough.
love, love, love. local missoula business. best chai around. add cream and agave.
delish. perfect for 15 degree weather and a car that is buried in snow…
lovely. a bit tart, gorgeous color, great flavor. it is snowing outside, NPR is asking for money (rightly so) and this cup is perfect. thanks art of tea!
we have an amish store nearby (sometimes referred to as the dented can store) which rocks. it’s like tj maxx, but food focused, and they put a lot of efforts into finding good quality, organic foods that are slightly outdated, 2 seconds past expiration, with dented packaging, and then they sell it Cheap. i love it (Thanks St. Ignatius General Store!). this tea was there. it is wonderful. like juice. feels like summer, which is nice since its freezing outside. the color is gorgeous. i am officially a zhena fan.
yummers. add rum to this for sure.
another tea bag that ended up in my purse after a meeting from the tea basket. I like this. I would buy this if it was on sale, or if I had a cold. it’s tart, but lovely.
oooohhhh. i love this tea. one of my all-time favorites. bitter, like a stormy fall day after a break-up. i love this one.
