Anaba is truly wonderful! The basement is well set up, though I do wish there were more comfy surfaces to sit on. Excellent variety of Rishi tea. The food is truly outstanding. I’ve never ordered anything that has disappointed me.
Tips:
1) Sit upstairs, if at all possible.
2) Get the afternoon tea for two. It comes with a pot of whatever tea you chose, plus cucumber sandwiches, curried egg salad sandwiches, some of the best smoked salmon sandwiches I’ve tasted, chicken salad sandwiches (which have a very light and intriguing sweet flavor to them), scones, crumpets and a little bit of salad. The best part is the homemade Devonshire cream and lemon curd.
3) Go often! :)

CHEF GREGG IS THE MAN.

I don’t care how full you are. Order the scones.
They come with fresh devonshire cream made in-house, lemon curd, and typically some form of preserve or another. It’s glorious.

Did I mention that they carrie some 45+ varieties of Rishi Tea?

Go here. It’s one of Milwaukee better kept secrets. And be sure to check out the greenhouse on the roof before you leave. (There’s an elevator, so all is wheelchair accessible!)
