Om Shan Tea Edit

At Om Shan Tea, there’s an authenticity that I haven’t found in other teahouses in the city. It is warm. The atmosphere feels Eastern on a level that you don’t come across often. I feel like I’m transported into a time and place where the complexity and speed of our modern world are forgotten and I can sit in peace and talk to a friend for 3 hours with ease.

And the tea? The tea is wonderful. They know their stuff.

I love this place! It is cozy and hidden off of the map, so it gathers a lot of locals and people that live nearby. Often times I have been there I have interacted with a very wide range of people at the tea bar. They have performances on the weekends usually, and sometimes when I go there is henna painting, or people doing yoga and stretching off to the side. They offer really nice teas for an amazing price. The last time I checked they were still doing their $5 all you can drink tea all day.

The place is very cute, it is like it’s own little world. The seating can be a little uncomfortable if you are used to chairs or have a bad back, but the stools can be moved around. There is free wi-fi and these guys are open every day from 12pm to 12am.
