Nice teahouse to read or work in. Adorned in beautiful well worn wood and bronze. Has an old european city feeling. Usually not too loud. Endless hot water. Good tea selection.

A bit on the cramped side, but very reasonably priced. Great selection of tea ware and loose leaf tea available for purchase. There’s a real nice mellow vibe to the place, and the window seats are great for people watching.

When I lived in Cambridge for 2 years, I frequented Tealuxe quite frequently. Despite its small interior, it’s cosy and relaxed and the combination of great lighting with tons of well-placed, well-loved antiques makes it feel like you’re stepping back in time. The tea selection is incredible, and the staff is incredibly professional, helpful, and beyond that have expansive knowledge about their teas. The raspberry green hit the spot for me in the summer and their blue flower earl grey was a favorite of mine year-round.

I’ve been a patron at this establishment off and on for the past ten years, and I’ve never had anything but praise for it. Space and tables may be limited, but if you can snag yourself a space, you’re in for a quiet, relaxing day of work or reading or whatever it is you need to do. Some of the most fascinating conversations I’ve ever overheard in public have transpired here. The Masala Chai is second to none, and I highly recommend the Copley Square Vanilla.

I would agree with the other reviewers that the looseleaf prices can be a little expensive for what you are purchasing, but try to buy some of their wares when you go. They sell nice glass tea mugs with their company logo for $1.95, and can make some good bubble tea with some fine Indian estate blacks. Would get a higher rating if not for some occasional stale teas they sold me, and some really bitter overbrewed bubble teas. Overall, four stars is a pretty high ranking for me to give.

Tealuxe brews up an excellent cup of tea, from a wide range of choices. And they usually have several interesting teas on ice. I love the dark wood interior of the shop.

Their prices for loose teas are very expensive, though.

I adore Tealuxe. This one is a bit out of the way if you’re visiting Boston proper, but if you happen to make it to Cambridge, it’s an excellent place to stop. It’s a bit more crowded than the Newbury Street shop, and doesn’t have the downstairs cafe, but still has the same great tea selection.

Excellent tea selection. My favorite is the chocolate tea.
