Infinitea in Uptown is now out of business!

Too bad. There was a really great thing going here for awhile. Now there’s just a sad hole in Hennepin where a tea house used to be. Maybe another tea house will take it’s place?

Having experienced the Infinitea Eau Claire store so many times I was really wondering what the vision and feel for the second store would be. Using the same color scheme the guys really pulled off a better polished version of the Eau Claire store. One really nice surprise was that they opened this store with 200 different types of loose leaf, almost all of them being brand new custom blends.

Finally, a cafe in Minneapolis that knows how to properly store tea. You won’t find any clear glass jars of loose leaf here. 200 different types of tea, from white peony to yerba mate, from green genmaicha to pu-erh cakes, all stored in air tight opaque metal canisters.

Bonus: the free Wi-Fi is fast and reliable and the music selection is in as good taste as the tea served.

Best tea shop in the Twin Cities – more than 200 loose teas, stored correctly. The Thai bubble tea is amazing, but the real draw is the loose leaf. Try the Bike Fuel Mate if you’re looking for caffeine. The Raspberry Rhubarb Green Tea is also great.

Also, best music selection of any coffee/tea shop I’ve ever been in. I’m listening to Explosions in the Sky right now, and you are missing out. Get down here! For your health.
