The prices of the teas here are reasonable, however I find that the smelly spa crap really makes it difficult to smell the selection of teas and choose something enjoyable. That being said I still have enjoyed the teas I have chosen, but the overy parfumy atmosphere really does keep me away.

Teas are top notch though prices can be high. Wish prices were by weight with optional bags but I understand the tin/refill model. Most teas are fairly true and avoid the chemical odors I find in products from other companies. Location is nice and most staff are knowledgeable especially the veteran employees. The tasting events are fun and have some inspirational ideas. Exceptional chocolate products.

Pros – Quality products, good packaging, trained staff and excellent selection

Cons – Can be costly, lots of spa stuff which I mostly bypass.

I like that Silk Road is local, and I’m supporting my local community, but I admit that I still prefer DAVIDsTEA to all the tea places I have near me. Of the few teas from them I have had, they have been of good quality and average pricing, and I like the decor and feel of the store. I’m such a DAVIDsTEA groupie that I hardly ever get past them on Government to get to Silk Road, but I should pop in sometime and try something new.

Love their teas (and their spa)! I’ve tried a lot of different teas and find Silk Road teas to have the best quality out there.
