Love the #21 Kukicha Twig, as well as the Irish Breakfast, Earl Grey… They also sometimes have these things called “study buddy bars” that are chocolate-covered heaven. Owners are delightful and always have great advice and stories to tell.

I love having a tea house in East Lansing. I’ve wanted to go to one for a while, and Wanderer’s is perfect. They have an amazing range of teas and they have a few of their own blends, which I really like. The immunitea always makes me feel better when I’m sick. The food is also amazing; they have really healthy, tasty sandwiches, sweet and savory crepes and freshly made pastries every day. I recommend getting a pot of Genmaicha and a hummus sandwich; it’s the best food/tea combination I’ve found yet. Everyone should at least go once.

Wanderer’s Tea House is one of the best things to happen to the Michigan State University campus, serving only fresh, high-quality, organic loose leaf teas to students and residents of the surrounding East Lansing area. It is a great place to discover the second most consumed drink in the world, and they also offer Meditation/Tai-Chi classes. The pastries made at the tea house are usually added with herbal ingredients such as rose or lavender, and the sandwiches are healthy & flavorful. The atmosphere could use a little work, but the owners are very knowledgeable and delightful. This cafe is truly a hidden gem.
