I am going to provide a fulsome review later. I am quite new to the site and still have a lot of setting up to do
@ Tayrn, If the place you rated matches the picture you proved, that is at 439A Yonge Street (Yonge and College), and the only location that I am familiar with. Good Tea, Good service, Relaxed atmosphere, and all the things you said about the place.
The link you provided for the other review is a review of the other location in Rosedale (about 1.6 km north at 911 Yonge St.). Never been there, but don’t think I will try to after those reviews.

I went to this place when I was visiting Toronto the other day. My initial tea search in the downtown area had lead me to Teaopia, which turned out hard to get into and the employees were not nice. When we were walking up young to go to our concert, we ran into this store and man was I so pleased to find this place! It’s an interesting place, the whole place was raised up of a flight of stairs and it was all gold and rich brown themed in there, they serve candy apples and other snacks. They have jars where you smell the tea instead of a sales associate being there to wave the tea fumes into your face. I think their focus was on serving beverages instead of selling loose leaf tea.

The sales lady helped me out quite a bit and we decided that Lychee Jasmine tea would be a good choice for me and man is it delicious! I’m really pleased with this tea, it’s my favorite tea purchase as of late. The sales lady mentioned how they had really good prices on white tea too. She was really nice and polite compared the Teaopia. They had a large variety of teas, lots of flavored teas for those who like them and were different from what I was used to.

I’m pleased with this tea store and I will return to it later when I return to Toronto! When I went I was in a rush and it was in the evening, so I feel as if I only got a partial experience out of it. I’ll revisit my rating later when I get a decent visit.

These people have a very different opinion though: http://www.blogto.com/cafes/goldenmint

Maybe because my aim was loose leaf tea and went near close?
