I think this tea will not appeal to everyone, but personally I love it. I like the blend of the smokiness of Lapsang Souchong, the sweetness of caramel and the warm spicy feel of the rest of the ingredients.
Flavors: Caramel, Smoked, Spices, Toffee

I just love this tea! It’s not the most sophisticated, delicate blend, but it’s so so good! Un thé très très gourmand!
I’m not sure how accurate the name really is. I definitely taste more almonds/marzipan, hazelnut and pistachio than I do pecans, but I don’t mind since I’m not crazy about real pecan pie which I find too sugary usually. But I do get the biscuit and honeyed sweetness, so this feels more like a “Inspired by the nuttiness and richness of Pecan Pie” than “Based on true Pecan Pie” rendition.
Bottom line, I just love all the nuttiness and pastry flavor. All my favorite flavors in one tea! So easy to drink!
It sounds like it should be a fall tea, but I catch myself reaching for it all year long, even in the summer when I want to indulge in something that feels rich and sweet. It’s like chocolate. Is there really a season for all this nutty goodness???? There can’t be!
Flavors: Almond, Hazelnut, Marzipan, Nutty, Pastries, Pecan, Sweet

Not the best Earl Grey I´ve ever tried, but there´s nothing too much wrong with it either. To be honest, I forgot all about my tea when it was steeping, so it might have been too bitter, but it wasn´t : it was still quite bergamotty (although not in the degrees I love), and very floral. Enjoyed it. Next time I´ll make sure to steep it less time, and maybe it changes positively.
Flavors: Bergamot, Floral

How i got it: Bought it
Experience: At first, i was a little disappointed, because i didn’t expect the smokey touch in this tea (i even questioned if that was supposed to happen in a Yunnan tea). However, after drinking it more consciously, i’ve come to appreciate it. It has a medium intensity but very clear flavor, with a balanced mix of malty and peppery notes (I sense a bit of dried fruits too), and a little spiciness at the end. Its aroma has a smoked touch that, though i’m still getting used to it, goes fine with the tea. Very good.
Would i buy it again?: After some thought, i’d say it’s a real possibility.
I finally found some more Novel Teas and have been using my nifty new ice-maker to make delicious cups of 1/2 iced tea with 1/2 lemonade. I brew the iced tea in a normal tea cup with 2 bags of tea in about 8 oz water. The tea is strong enough to hold its own against the lemonade and is refreshing enough for the most obstinately hot of summer days.
Unfortunately, I have been in the middle of moving for several weeks now and my tea consumption has been reduced to this or Twinings. I cannot wait to get back to my ‘serious’ tea tasting, and perhaps even order myself some new teas once I finish off some of my remaining ones. I’ll just have to keep that in mind until my kitchen gets sorted out.

I just received this tea in the mail today and let me just say, it’s absolutely FABULOUS!!! You can really taste the pumpkin in it. I just wish it had a little more of a chai flavor. I threw in some cinnamon sticks I smashed into little pieces and it really helped the flavor. I also used some of the Teavana rock sugar which made it taste even better with its molasses flavor. All in all, a fantastic blend!I’m also willing to trade 5-10 grams of this tea! If you’re interested, reply to this note or pm me! I’ll take care of postage.

This tea is from my company, and will be available online in the next few months. (as of now, you an request a sample). I love it. But, I’m using this tasting note to tell you about a perfect tea booze companion I received as a gift: http://domainedecanton.com/ If you haven’t seen it, it is a french ginger liquor, accented by tahitian vanilla, and it is wonderful in evening tea. Highly recommend it.
Preparation
I’m not into black tea (especially when named black instead of red) and even less into indian black tea, but I’ve got a little sample of this from the shop.
Checking the price of this tea and knowing the bad quality of the chinese tea from le palais des thes around this price range I expected the worse …
I made it Gong Fu style of course :-) so that if it’s bad, it’s gonna be undrinkable, what is life without risks huh ?
The leafs seemed small, so I used a zhong to filter those correctly (measured risks).
Boiling water, 3+gr, 1’00, 1’00, 2’00, 3’00 … I even tried 5’00, risks baby, risks.
The scent in the zhong is very nice, flower/chocolate. Hey, it’s actually good, who would have thought. The taste is great, it doesn’t linger in the throat or give any complexity but at least no off taste.
It’s not a great tea, but in this price range it’s a very interesting bargain for an everyday red tea. The last brewing, although weak, had still a slight malty taste – 5 brews, more than fair.

There is finally, FINALLY a tea store in my little country, that has many teas to try, is decently priced and that I don’t have to pay steep international shipping fees for. Happy Day! I have no experience with actual tea stores, I always purchased online. Being so close to so many different kinds of teas, to see and smell them all, it took all my self control to not purchase every single one of them. Alas, my wallet has it’s limits, and after I chose 5 or 6 (ok, ok, maybe 7) teas, it was screaming STOP THIS NOW!. Le Palais des Thes in Tel Aviv – I wish you a warm welcome, and I suspect I will be seeing you often :)
This is the first of the teas that I purchased. I am impressed.
It’s flavor has a presence, yet it is smooth and mellow. I had the first cup straight, and the second with a touch of milk. Both were very good, but I admit I am partial to black tea with milk.
One off found at work, figured it was worth a go. I’m still recovering from my confused reaction to Cantaloupe Bai Mu Dan, so figured apple cinnamon was worth a shot. As soon as it started steeping bright pink/red, I suspected there was hibiscus involved. I checked, of course there is! I don’t mind it, luckily, but i will need to be careful not to oversteep.
This has the artificial checmical apple taste I so loathe in bagged apple teas, and puts me in mind of Celestial Seasonings Apple Cinnamon (I hate it) mixed with one of their zingers (not that bad). This tea is a bit of a blah. I wonder what it might be like without hibiscus, as that is my dominant taste right now, but I get the apple in there too. This cup doesn’t seem to be undrinkable, but it’s definitely not good.

Full Disclosure: I hate Earl Grey teas and pulled this one because I need a black tea to kick my brain into working mode. But the leaves smell DELICIOUS.
I unceremoniously dumped a glug of whole milk in before I even started steeping it, which may account for the light brew, but this is a very light tea. When it’s done steeping, the vanilla really pops, but in that kind of not-so-awesome way it does in teas.
I’ll give it a minute to cool down before I chug away.
Okay. Not bad, not bad. You kind of feel it in your mouth the way you would a vanilla pudding. Not the mouth-feel at all (although it is quite heavy and creamy) but more where it hits you in the flavour centres. It’s pretty satisfying.
I’ll be happy to finish my little sample tin (Tea World Tour, YEE-AH!), but I don’t think I’d buy it. Just because I’m not an Earl Grey fan and I can see overdosing on the vanilla rather quickly (like I did Read My Lips, which is still tragic…)
Pretty good little sip.

A very strong black tea. If you’re a coffee drinker trying to get into tea, this is a good place to start. A bit tannic, but robust. My dear friend from college who has been living in England brought me a box of this as a gift. It is my lifeline for staying alert in my night shift work.
This one, though…
I AM A FAN
Yes this is good. Again I tried this a little while ago and should have written notes at the time, but I definitely remember being pleased with this and enjoying the blend. I do have a soft spot for sleepy teas, but this one is one I’d definitely consider adding to the sleep collection.
Yes. This is a nice copy cat of Forever Nuts. At Teavana they have this big tins. They shake them and the smell that comes out is very attractive.
It looks more beautiful than Forever nuts and apparently Teavana does not used artificial flavoring.
I had a cup to go but it was money down the drain because it tasted exactly like a tea that I am so familiar with.
Backlog!
The Saturday after my cousin arrived, she, my sister, and I made breakfast at my place. I let her chose any tea from my collection to try and I showed her this tea as well since this is one of the weirdest looking teas I own. She went with this one to have with breakfast!
Brewed a bit differently from before. Before I actually followed the directions but it came up a bit watered down. I decided to throw in a couple more pearls and made enough for my cousin and I to enjoy.
Unfortunately when I made my second cuppa (to take with me for the road), I forgot about it and it was far too bitter :( But hey, at least the first steeping was delish!
Preparation
I really enjoy this tea despite it’s “green” nature. It has depth and character that I find only rooibos can bring out (well, that, and oolong). I know exactly where the tea base ends and where the additional flavour point begins. It really tastes like caramel, burnt just a little and smells just as heavenly. Not at all like my almond cookie tea, that’s almost too sweet.
With a few dashes of milk, it becomes a bold, creamy caramel confection that makes me think of dessert in a cup only not so bad for you! mmmmm.
The rooibos is a bit heavy in this batch, I’m not sure if that’s the type of tea or maybe just this particular harvest
This is by far the sweetest Theodor tea I know. I believe it’s a white peony with tropical fruits. As a result it tastes sweet and syrupy in that particular way tropical fruit juice mixes tend to taste. If you’re in for something new that doesn’t emphasize the tea but rather the flavoring this would be a good choice.
Brewing: anything from 3 minutes and up.
