My first oolong and it was very different than I expected. I figured it would be closer to a black tea but it was more like a green tea. A nice flowery aroma and a sweet taste that is very relaxing. Near the end of the cup it got a bit of a tangy grassy taste but never bitter. Definitely be back for more.

When my local grocery store started selling this, I couldn’t help but shout.

I picked this tea up.

Nice taste. I love Hibiscus, and berry flavors. The pieces where nice and big, still a little moist. I added a dap of homey, which complimented it well.

Over all, I am going back and getting more of these guys tea.

drank Masala Chai by Samovar

I made this Chai as instructed in the box with minor exceptions. I used 8th Continent Soy Milk(1cup) instead of whole milk. As for the Black Tea I used Lupicia Palekaiko (1.5tbsp )only because I have a lot of it. For sweetener I used Williams-Sonoma Granulated Honey (2tbsp)

It came out absolutely perfect. What a treat for today and there was enough left over to refrigerate and serve as iced Chai tomorrow. Like many people have said the flavor is so well balanced, not one flavor overpowers another. It has the correct amount of spice and drinks so smooth. It was almost as perfect as the cup I tasted two weeks ago in Samovar Tea Lounge in SF during Macworld. Granted this takes a little time to prepare but it is so worth it. It almost makes me wish I had some snow to go with it.

(According to Samovar)
How to Brew Our Chai
Bring 1-2 cups of water with 1 or more tablespoons of raw sugar to a rolling boil.
Then add 2 tablespoon of chai blend and 1 tablespoon of your favorite full-bodied black tea. Boil for an additional 3 minutes. Add 1 cup of whole milk, bring to boil again, and then remove from heat and let mixture sit 5 minutes. Pour through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth and enjoy!

I am very impressed by this tea.

I read the descriptions, and was kind of expecting something like hot chocolate with hazelnut flavor. However, this is definitely TEA that tastes like a chocolate belgian praline, or somewhat like nutella.

I don’t know what they did to flavor it like this, but it even has just the right hint of sweetness. In no way does it taste fake, and it is very smooth.
Makes me want another cup!

Bought this at a snack cart out of sheer desperation for a hot drink today. Wasn’t bad, but it’s been so long since I’ve had bagged tea… it just doesn’t compare.

Happy news, spring and 2015 teas have arrived. I have been waiting for a long time and finally I got to taste these fresh spring greens.
I got, not one but two boxes of tea yesterday. Another one containing this, my 50g preorder and that wonderful scarf present. I will definitely use it, thanks. In the other box were the spring sampler. It was really wonderful sight when I unpacked all this, mountain of tea.
I’ve tried already three teas, this was the first one. The aroma that came from the pouch was amazing. It was fresh, green and mildly grassy, not that roasty than 2014 Superfine Longjing. The leaves are green as spring, really bright green that means. They’ve a strong, but fresh aroma. Their shape is nice, pointy and flat tea buds. I can’t see any broken or ‘bad’ looking leaf.
I’m using gaiwan as always. Brew is pale green with mild grassy scent. There is a weak nutty nuance. Roastiness, almost none.
Flavour follows the scent. Fresh and mildly grassy with delicate nuttiness following. I’m allergic to nuts so I can’t say which nut this tinge reminds me, but I’ll say walnuts and roasted almonds. Latter is the only ‘nut’ I can eat :P
Some people said that last years Superfine was overly toasty. It was quite toasty, but I liked that. This one is really mildly toasty, but it doesn’t mean this is worse than last years. This is really good stuff, it’s different and good as it is. If you don’t like toasty Longjings now is your chance. I will give this a point better review, bit better, but still as good.

I tried this tea in my local T2 and I was suprised with the sweetness of this tea. It was like drinking pancakes with syrup but not in an overly sweet way. It was very confusing though but I enjoyed it regardless. Its now on my wishlist

A solid Yellow tea
A strong pea note, a little vegetal with a nutty touch.
It had all the characteristics one would find in a yellow tea, but none of the refinement of a good yellow tea.
The body was a little thick for me, it wasn’t very refreshing. It also did not leave a nice feeling in my mouth afterwards.

Flavors: Nuts, Pear, Vegetal

First time trying English Breakfast and… Monica made fun of me. I described it as tasting of old. Not like this tea is old, but it reminds me of old things. Imagine walking up into the attic and discovering all these old stuff from childhood. THAT is English Breakfast tea for me.

Perfect night-time or dessert tea. I didn’t think I would like this style of flavoured tea since I dislike the artificial DAVIDsTEA counterparts, but this is a subtle and delicious blend of cacao and caramel. Smells divine but not in a cheap or teenybopper way.

Bought this tea from a lovely family-owned tea shop in Taipei called Chang Hsie Shing / Zhang Xie Xing Tea Shop (張協興茶行). We tried maybe six teas there and most of them really impressed us but unfortunately we only had enough cash to buy two (and a pitcher). The name “Bo Luo Mi” translates to “Pineapple Honey”.

1st infusion: 194˚F
A delicious malty, juicy, slightly floral aroma. Reminds me a bit of the caramel-y sweet Shan Lin Xi Winter Sprout from Song Tea & Ceramics, but a bit more tropical. Liquor is fresh and sweet.

2nd infusion: 200˚F
Still retains the sweet delicious characteristics from the first infusion, but the flavour and aroma has mellowed out and becomes easier to pair with food.

3rd infusion: 202˚F
After the top notes of the aroma have been stripped away, the underlying nature is revealed. Now I see that this tea shares some characteristics with high-quality Tieguanyin.

Flavors: Floral, Malt, Sweet, Tropical

I actually was not crazy about this tea when I first had it but I have since grown to absolutely love it! I drink it hot and plain with a two minute steep using two DT PS in a 16oz travel mug. In spite of it’s odd mix of ingredients I find it to be a simple tea that is comforting. The first and most dominant flavour is the genmatchia followed by a subtle sweetness from the pineapple. The last flavour note is the spice from the pink peppercorn. It is gentle in it’s presence and leaves just enough kick to push you towards your next sip. I loved falling in love with this tea and was extremely surprised at how much I grew to enjoy it! While I plan to explore other green teas in my collection for the time being I am very likely to repurchase this tea if it continues to be available.

I made this tea 3 times, using different amounts of leaves each time (it’s hard to estimate the amount, as it’s packed so tightly), and I found the amount that suits me. I’m no pu erh expert, but this is one excellent cup of tea. It’s woody, but light, and very soothing. I somehow feel stronger and healthier after a few cups of this. Lasted for about 5 infusions. I only ordered a small sample, but now think I need a much larger quantity of this tea.

THIS tea!! THIS is what I have been waiting for since finding out Pom Power had been discontinued. THIS is the tea that has filled that big gaping hole in my heart. I will be drinking this iced ALL summer. Please oh please DAVIDsTEA consider making this a permanent tea!!! I’m pretty sure I have half my office hooked on this tea just by the smell alone. When I love something, I go out of my way to “promote” it. I already talk about your company and teas all the time, but if you keep this one around, I swear, you’ll only find me talk about it 24/7. This is how much I love this tea :)

I don’t know. I don’t know how I feel about this. I’m getting a really nice matcha flavor during the sip and the after taste. I think the sencha flavor comes out in the beginning. This is interesting, but leaves me confused.

I discovered Revolution Tea at a restaurant in Uptown Minneapolis. Since then I have become a regular customer to their website (have an order in transit right now!). I love this Oolong. It’s mild and not too sweet. It is my very favorite iced tea. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the pot sized canisters on the website for my last order, so I had to order the regular size. Oh, well. That way, if I just want a cup, I can have a cup!

Does not stand up to the taste/cost. Though I never tasted a Tieguanyin before, I was tempted to buy looking at the package. It tasted a bit like houjicha (roasted green tea). I felt that there are more twigs than leaves. Leaves are more darker and possibly machine picked and processed. It does not taste special.

The dry leaves smell of muffins and marshmallows. The wet leaves give a nice cherry fragrance to the room. The first couple steeps had little to offer. However it opened up in a big way on the 3rd. Its a very pleasant natural sweetness. Reminds me a lot of marshmallows and baked goods. The black tea taste doesn’t come through much at all. Its all strong sakura flavor here. My brother said it got so strong after a bit it turned his stomach. That didn’t happen to me but something to note.

I do recommend this tea. Nothing else like it.
