Popular Tasting Notes
I just had the fresh batch of this and it’s wondrous. it’s flavor is so crisp and complex. the first taste is like a spring mountain stream coming through the ice followed by a sweet, almost melon kind of flavor, followed by a hint of buttered toast that warms the tongue for the finish.
Preparation
This is a creamy, mild tasting pu-erh. It doesn’t have much complexity in the taste but still comes out as a rich drink. One very interesting characteristic I noticed in this tea is that it’s unusually sweet, which was surprising but pleasant.
Definitely not one of those “right in your face” pu-erhs, but very nice nonetheless. Little too simple for my taste, but at the same time might be good for times when you feel like pu-erh but don’t necessarily want to over think it.
Preparation
This is the first time I have tried a tea anything like this. I loved it. Even if it didn’t taste good, I probably would have used up the box steeping it for the smell. I was pleasantly suprised with the taste. I think it tastes a lot like Big Red chewing gum. It has the same feel on the tongue. I was a little concerned that it would give me indigestion or heartburn, but it was very soothing. I probably would only drink this in the winter. It is great after coming in from shoveling snow.
