Popular Tasting Notes
Dry leaves smell of pipe tobacco and prunes, very pleasant. Wet leaves smell very vegetal with a hint of the dry leaf aroma. Rinsed for 15s, then 10 minute rest.
Steep/Time: Notes
1-3/10s: Bitter and vegetal for all three. It’s not the case for all teas, but I think 6g of leaf maybe too much for this little pot. I’ve removed about half of the leaves as I think 3-4g would be better.
4/10s: Waaahhh! That makes a world of difference! The tea is now sweetly astringent. Still has the vegetal quality about it, but it’s quite good.
5/10s: Surprisingly buttery smooth and sweet.
Got off to a rough start with this one, so no cha qi. I’ll give it a shot again tomorrow.
Preparation
Strong, sweet flavour that really reminds of blueberry muffins, seems pretty natural.
Slightly sweet in taste, with a lot of fruity and some biscuity notes, subtle earthy aromas from base tea in the background.
All in all it’s pretty good, but nothing extraordinary.
Flavors: Blueberry, Cake, Earth
Preparation
Drinking this quickly while it’s hot is the way to go. I do love this tea but I wish it didn’t taste so watered down.. I will need to mess around with how much to measure out. Anyway I’m watching the Goodbye Matt Smith special and I don’t have any of 11 so the Ponds will make do.
Preparation
This tea is SWEET. The flavor is mostly chocolate with a berry twist and tiny bit of floral tossed in. It’s a great dessert tea but the intense sweetness keeps it from being stocked regularly for me. Helps me kill my chocolate cravings so I keep coming back to it.
