drank The Vanilla Marshmallow by 52teas

I made this and topped it with toasted marshmallow whipped cream. I took one glorious sip of toasted marshmallow goodness and then my stepdad insisted I shower so the whipped cream melted. I tried drinking it but it was so thin. It had the toasted marshmallow flavor but it was like drinking water with whipped cream. So whipped cream on tea…not the best but this toasted marshmallow whipped cream is awesome.

Toasted marshmallow whipped cream sounds like something I’d eat a bowl of all by itself. I must find this miracle food at once.

It is delightful. Highly recommend.

Made as an iced tea lemonade with the rest of my Hibiscus Splash by DAVIDsTEA. Check out the full review here: https://steepster.com/rachel12610/posts/392683.

Basically it’s a hibiscus explosion with lemonade.

Now to decide how to use the toasted marshmallow whipped cream I bought…

Iced Tea/Lemonade Sipdown (209) mixed with For Tea’s Sake Over the Rainbow tea.

It felt like I had a lot more leaf left in the pack when I set out to make my iced tea/lemonade so when I realized I really only had 2 teaspoons, I improvised and added 2 pftsps of Over the Rainbow, another hibiscus heavy tea.

Honestly this whole thing basically tastes like a generic fruit/hibiscus blend. The lemonade is really the only thing keeping it drinkable because I dont think either tea is great.

Iced Tea Sipdown (210)

Thank you for sharing CameronB but this was a big ole nope for me. It sounded super interesting but as soon as it hit my mouth I got a weird sweet vegetal waxiness that was just not okay.

I bought the holographic tumbler from DAVIDsTEA and after the delicious teapop from last night, I decided to try another. This tea and peach perrier just isnt as good. Both are distinct and just dont go together well. Oh well.

This. As a tea pop. With peach perrier. Awesome!

Also I finished my large pack and now only have my Christmas tea sampler left.

Another one from Roswell Strange. Thank you!

I cold brewed this in milk for 8 hours. The plan was to make a hot chocolate but that didn’t happen because I got lazy. So now it’s just flavored milk and honestly it is pretty good

Its creamy and has a whole lot of flavor. I want to say vanilla and cinnamon and something else that’s so familiar but not all that common but really works.

Kawaii433

Someday I will have to try to cold brew tea in milk. Sounds good. :)

Sipdown (211)

This is very oolong today with a touch of that waxy apple flavor that a lot of apple-based tisanes have. It’s alright. But I remember the last cup being better. Thank you Roswell Strange!

This is chocolate and zucchini surprisingly. I expected more of a Graham/pastry note because there were 2 large pieces of graham crackers in the filter. Its bready though so I guess that’s good. I just find I’m wanting more. The flavors are blended together and a bit one-note despite the multiple elements and my guess is age has something to do with it.

Dustin

I’ve never thought of a zucchini and tea pairing! Sounds like it could be intriguing.

Another from Evol Ving Ness alas this has suffered from flavor deterioration over time. Per my last note, there was maple flavor but more black tea flavor. This cup smelled mapley but is really quite bland. Not much maple or black tea. Really nothing of anything. That’s on me though. Thank you for sharing, Evol!

My cupboard has grown exponentially since joining this site and I have a lot to share. Feel free to snoop through my cupboard and message me if anything interests you – I am always happy to swap!

For me, flavored teas are definitely my sweet spot. I will most often reach for black teas and rooibos or honeybush blends but I do keep some flavored whites and greens around for when the mood strikes. I have a few herbals/tisanes but most of the time I find myself disappointed by them as they often smell deliciously sweet and then end up tasting tart/sour. I have a little bit of an aversion to pu’erh and oolong teas. I am also wary of florals, earl greys, and chai teas. I do not like overpowering citrus flavors nor do I usually like hibiscus, licorice or chamomile. I love dessert teas – caramel, vanilla, toffee, cookie, cream, and other sweet flavors make me smile. Fruits like strawberry, peach, mango, and pineapples will often catch my attention as well.

I have also realized that although I really enjoy adding frothed milk to some of my teas, if I do not like the tea with zero additives (just in plain water without milk or sugar), I probably won’t drink it. The one exception is flavored matchas which I will happily drink in cold milk if I do not like it mixed with hot water. My theory is if the tea can’t stand on its own then it is not for me and I will more than likely try to swap it out for something else.

Tea Ratings Guide (as of December 10, 2017)
90-100 Teas I NEED on hand at all times
80-89 Teas I want to keep around for a cup every now and then
70-79 Teas I am glad I have around and can experiment with but probably don’t need more than what’s in my cupboard
60-69 Teas I would not turn down a cup of from a friend but that would probably be enough
50-59 Teas I can see why someone would enjoy but are not for me
Under 50 Teas I really did not like and most likely got dumped
