Jasmine teas all taste the same to me and this is no different. Dark. Floral. Brisk. Nothing new. Nothing different. And not for me.

I am at my sisters place for the weekend and we went out to breakfast at a place called the Copper Kettle. When we walked in, they had their drink features displayed on a chalkboard. These features included a Winter Fog and a Caramel/Hazelnut Fog, which is what I went with.
The fog came to the table with the orange pekoe tea bag still in the mug, sticking out of the frothed milk. That didnt bode well for the drink. I pulled it out.
The fog was actually not bad. Creamy and warming with nutty notes and a distinct caramel sweetness. Would I order it again? Probably not but it was good enough as a breakfast accompaniment.
I got this in a Sipsby box and thought I could sort of recreate a tangerine mojito I had at a restaurant in Toronto. I did this by putting this matcha in tangerine lemonade except I got no mint that way. So, I tried the matcha just in water and basically it tasted like grass. This just wasn’t great.

Based on my last note, it seems this is better hot as opposed to warm. I sipped on this while watching the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix. What a shit show?! But this tea is gingery fuzzy peaches and it is lovely and warming and it’s so cold here so warming is good.
This was basically a godsend today for the 10 minutes I was walking to the bus stop. It was so cold and I was walking against the wind and each breath felt like razor blades in my lungs. This helped keep my hands warm and helped to warm my insides when I needed it desperately. This may have tasted better than ever today for the sheer reason that it was hot. Very hot. When heat was fleeting
Apparently I am on a 52 Teas kick because every tea I have reached for lately seems to be 52 teas blends. When I opened this one up, I broke the seal, so it is now being stored in a plastic bag. Which just means I will need to drink it sooner rather than later…and I am okay with that because this is grilled pineapple goodness. Just like the sweet treat you get at churrascarias. Yum!!

I have no idea what a blackberry dumpling is so I have no idea if this is accurate. It tastes good though. Sil was super kind and shared a serving and this is a whole lot of delicious blackberry flavor. Actual blackberry flavor, true to the fruit and distinct. It is also a warming cup thanks to the cinnamon and maltiness of the base. It tastes like a blackberry dumpling of sorts. Whether it is a dumpling or not, I do not know. Still I enjoyed trying this one a lot and would happily revisit it should it be reblended and I were placing a 52 Teas order.
I looked it up a bit, and it seems like Blackberry Dumpling is sort of similar to a cobbler? It’s basically blackberry pie filling that you drop dollops of sweet dough into and then bake.
Thank you Roswell Strange for sharing this. Unfortunately the magic you seemed to find is lost on me. The chocolate flavor is coming through a bit muddy and it collides with some fruitiness which causes a sharp note in the middle as the flavor goes from chocolate to berry.
This is a delightful gingerbread tea. Honestly one of the best balanced gingerbread flavors which is warm and spicy but awesomely like a cookie. I am not getting brulee 100% but I suppose that sweet is what is keeping the spice in check.
Somehow my face is burning as I drink though. I think I’m wind burned. Or perhaps I’m just in dire need of moisture.
