6444 Tasting Notes
People seem to be pretty med about this blend but I actually quite like it. I find it is sweet and juicy from the strawberry flavor but not too sweet thanks to the touch of lemon that comes in midsip. Personally I am really enjoying this one (at least this first cup of it…perhaps that’s new tea excitement though).
This was not in my cupboard so looks like that number is going up again. This is one of the teas I won and I don’t think I would have picked it myself but sipping it now, I will say it is quite nice. This has cooled completely but its got a nice creamy tang that plays nicely off the honeybush base. I’ve never personally had a kumquat, I don’t think, so I don’t know what to look for exactly. However, there is not much of a discernible/unique flavor here that I could even attribute to the fruit. Sweet. Fruity. Cheesecake. I’m happy with it.

What makes this tea smokey? I keep trying to figure it out from the ingredients but I just can’t. However, this last cup is smokey indeed. Smokey and with a vague fruity essence every now and then. Maybe a bit of a baked good vibe but I don’t know if thats because its actually there or just because I think I should be so I am imagining it. All in all, this was an alright tea but it wasn’t what I hoped it would be so I think I am okay with saying goodbye.
I didn’t put anything in it to make it smoky – so perhaps the maple is coming across as somewhat smoky?
I am not sure. I had it a few times and always got a smoke note. Maybe its my tastebuds being weird…
I don’t know – one thing that I learned many years ago (more years than I care to admit to!) is that everyone’s palate is different and the way flavors are perceived by me are not going to be perceived the same exact way by anyone else because so much goes into the way things taste for us. It could be something about the aroma that reminds you of something smoky from your past – or it could be just the way these flavors combine come across as smoky for you.
Revisiting this delight while marathoning the Defenders on Netflix. Not a bad way to start my weekend.

I think we can all agree Danny Rand is an idiot, hopefully he learns something from the other 3. (Jessica and Matt are the best)
I got almost to the end of episode 6 (I passed out through the last 5 minutes which I have since watched) last night and now I’m waiting for my brother to wake up to finish the season. Also, Danny always has been kinda dumb but I guess growing up in a Cloud Temple and punching a dragon could have that effect on some :P
