6444 Tasting Notes
Finally cracked open my large bag of this from March and what a great idea. One perfect teaspoon in a 16 oz mug and this made for banana pudding perfection. Creamy. Sweet. Delicious!
Latte sipdown (291)
I didn’t have quite enough for a latte so I used mostly this with a scoop of 52 Teas’ Marshmallow Assam. It is good but this has suffered a bit from age so every now and then I get a memory of this tea’s former self with the melty marshmallow and gooey caramel popping up but the flavor has faded so this sipdown seems to have come at the right time.

The last cup of this had more Peach so it seemed more balanced. This is mostly habenero and while it seems fitting to match my tense mood (I’m finally writing in the bullet journal I’ve owned since January but refused to write in as I was worried I would fuck up and make it ugly), it does make for a less interesting tea. Though, that makes this goodbye easier.
Hmmm, page not found—removed or link broken.
Also, the bullet journal looks like a lot of work. Does anyone’s brain really work like that?
I havent even done daily logs yet. Just one page to do a mood tracker and today I started a birthday page. It takes a long time but its fun to be creative.
Totally w you about being creative, though looking at the bullet journal instructions on their website, the BJ process looks quite structured and linear which to me is the opposite of creativity. Or maybe that is the thing—to create a rigid structure in which one can be creative within certain guidelines.
And on a different note, would you be interested in going for brunch here one of these weekends that you are heading out to your sister’s in the west end—and we can finally at long last do our swap f2f? https://www.emmascountrykitchen.com
Thing is I like crafting but have never been very good at creating something from nothing. I always need some sort of guide. So like I have been needlepointing since I was 7 years old, even been paid to do it, and that’s a creative outlet that has worked for me because I have painted canvases and I just have to do all the needlework. Adult coloring books also right up my alley because there is already the outlines and I just need to fill it in however I like. Even paint nites I enjoyed because I had a clear image and instructions for what I was working towards. Bullet journalling is the latest find because everyone can do something different with their journal and since I tend to be a list writer anyways, this is a fun and creative means of doing that. I suppose it is not for everyone but I have been enjoying it so far (when I am not worried about ruining it, that is lol).
Also, I have wanted to try Emma’s for a while so we can definitely meet for brunch one day. Though, I already gave Sil your stuff so that you would have it when you met up with her.
Interesting how we all do the creative process differently. Sometimes I like a bit of structure, but to me, often it feels a bit of like a chokehold. I like a bit of guidance from time to time, like for example, I recently took a drawing class to learn basics, beginners 101-like. Most of the time though I like to have a pile of colours and tools and for someone to say go!
Oh, I misunderstood. I thought that she had the various purchases only and our swap was to happen whenever. All good. We can still go for brunch at Emma’s when it works conveniently for you. I’d love to meet you in person. From what I understand, there are lineups, so it is best to get there right at opening, at 9 on weekends. Or perhaps much later when/if the rush is over. Or we could go for brunch somewhere else.
I have been bullet journaling for over a year now. At first, I was spending hella crazy time trying to make it look pretty like on Pinterest. Now, I do fairly basic with creative thrown in. I am a HUGE list person and love to make those kind of spreads when I have a bit of free time to be creative. I also use it as kind of a scrapbook
I started getting my smoothie together and realized when it was too late that we had no putting. This still tastes good enough without it. It’s like a minty strawberry milkshake. The pudding might have helped tone down the peppermint which is so crisp it’s bordering on medicinal but this is still an enjoyable treat.

Made this as a latte which helped tone down the bergamot and boosted the marshmallow sweetness. It also had a great berry flavor, fresh and true to the fruit. With the hint of bergamot, it creates a fairly distinct raspberry flavor with a little bit sweet and a little bit tart. This is good but not something I need stocked. I think for those that like EGs, this is a good one to try out.

I used the sample to make both a hot and iced tea. I started with the hot cup before it cooled and I got tart hibiscus in the front of the sip and stevia at the end. Somewhere in the crossover there are hints of jammy blueberry/generic berry flavors but the stevia aftertaste is too much for my liking. It has potential for those that don’t mind the sweetener.
The iced tea is a lot more hibiscus than the hot cup but that means no jammy blueberry. Alas stevia still lingers. So this is certainly not for me.
