6444 Tasting Notes
So apparently I was in the mood for coconut because without even realizing it, I brewed up this cup and Creamy Coconut by Bayswater. Luckily, this is more than just coconut. Instead this is a tasty marriage of coconut creaminess and Tea Desire’s spectacular apricot flavoring. Thank you Roswell Strange for sharing this with me because I quite like it. I might need to add this to the Buddha Bamboo I asked you to pick up for me because I want more! At least I got enough for some more cups left in the sample.
I was planning on having yogurt mixed with peanut butter for today’s dairy servings only to realize my milk expires today. Since, I can’t smell if milk has gone bad, I don’t usually keep it long after its expiration date so I figured it was best to use up what I could and save the yogurt for later. Thus, I compromised and made this instead. I am happy I did though because something about what I did today has made for a really tasty cup. No grassiness from the base, just smooth peanut butter flavor. Mmmmm… I really can’t thank you enough, Cavoocorax for sharing this and so many other matchas with me :). I certainly appreciate them all.
I am sipping on a mason jar of this tea, cold. Not because I cold brewed this but rather I made it hot yesterday and then never got around to drinking it until now. Given that my room is on the particularly cold side today, I do wish I had a mason jar of hot tea but that means leaving the warmth of my old sheets so I am content with what I have.
Also, I did plan on cleaning today because I need to completely organize/clean my apartment so I can take pics and post it online but that went out the window when I got home and decided I just wanted to relax after my exams. Instead, I have been curled up in bed watching shows and it has been lovely.

Thank you Fjellrev for sharing this amazing tea! When I was brewing up The Morning Star, I didn’t know what to expect so I wanted another tea that I knew I would enjoy and this popped into my mind. I am sad to see it go as this is one I would most definitely stock (if I lived somewhere I could buy Bayswater Teas that is). It has an almost coffee-like quality at first but as I continue to sip, I realize it is not coffee but rather a caramelized sugar flavor that is bordering on a little too well-down giving it a nice roastiness. I am definitely starting to see where the name Creme Brulee comes from now and I am really loving it. Too bad it is gone :(
Yes I got some of that as well because Fjellrev is awesome! However, I didn’t get a chance to mix them because I finished the Creme Brulee too quickly on its own :(.
Haha. I might have gotten a bit excited about this one :P. Btw, have you tried Sweet Seduction by RiverTea? It is also a nougat tea (like Divine Temptation) but with a green base. It was really good.
I haven’t tried that yet but was considering ordering that when I eventually make an order with them. The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was this tea.
Fjellrev, I have loads and I’m closer than you are. :) I could send some in the parcel I’m putting together!
Oh, and Bayswater does Divine Temptation with a green base as well. And I think also a bai mu dan white. Maybe even rooibos. It’s a best seller!
Haha. OMGsrsly, we have Sweet Temptation, so I don’t think we should jump on any rooibos versions of Divine Temptation anytime soon:P.
I was feeling a bit adventurous so I broke out this unique tea sent to me by the awesome MissB (thank you!! ). As I readied myself for my first spicy sip, I was shocked to just get mango. Albeit an an amazing mango that is incredibly true to the sweet and luscious fruit, but where is the chili?! Every now and then I notice it at the back of my throat but it is faint and only noticeable because I am looking for it. For a tea named after Supernatural’s Lucifer, I was certainly expecting more heat. In fact, I was almost scared as to how spicy it would be but as it turns out, my fear was completely unwarranted as this is just like sipping on a delicious mango tea.
Sipdown!!
Thank you Roswell Strange for sharing this with me. It is certainly a nice cup and the flavor is distinctively lychee. However, I am also getting a fair bit more of the base than I anticipated. That isn’t such a big deal as it is smooth and a touch malty and yet I am finding it is drowning out the delicate lychee essence. I should mention that the heavy base might be entirely my fault because I ended up overleafing this by at least a 1/2 tsp. Oops. Though, even with my crappy measuring, it is still pretty good.
Preparation
So I had a final this morning at 11:30-1:30 and I think my teacher is magical because I got my grade an hour ago. Yay for efficiency!!
Anyways, on to the matcha. This is a sample I got in one of my Red Leaf Tea orders however I have tried it previously and at a higher flavor level thanks to the wonderful Sil. Sipping on this now, I immediately get a big whiff of caramel which is delightful but it doesn’t necessary transfer over into the flavor. This is not to say there is NO caramel taste but rather it is muted in comparison to the scent. It is also a touch grassy. I think I will be sticking to Caramel Popcorn for my caramel fixes but this sample will definitely do until my 60g arrives!!
I kept seeing notifications about this tea so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and induldge in the caramel cookie goodness that is this tasty treat. Thank you Dustin for introducing me to an amazing tea and an amazing company. With this cup, I say sadly say goodbye to the last of the sample. Luckily, Sil was kind enough to send me a teabag of this so I have that stored away for a rainy day.
Thank you Sil for sharing some of this with me. As I drink it, I can’t help but feel like I have had this before despite never having this tea in my life. The black base is prominent and complimented by the nuttiness while the vanilla comes through in smell as opposed to the taste. Nonetheless, I can’t help but feel like I had this time and time again and for that reason it is not something I need to keep stocked. I am still grateful to have gotten to try it though.
