This is a great Mate. It blends the toasty-nuttiness of pistachios seamlessly with the tangy citrus flavor of lime so well. Not one flavor dominates, but it masks that musky herbal flavor that Mate has, which I find slightly strange.

I really wish I could like this flavor. I feel so bad. I love the smell, but that funky aftertaste really didn’t help me enjoy the cup.
If you feel that bad there is only ONE thing to do…NYC has many tall buildings hint hint
but seriously..it’s the Mate..it’s an acquired taste. It’s very herbal & earthy.

Seriously, I don’t think I’m going to care for yerba mates. I really didn’t like the funky aftertaste.
then I think you will like Guayusa. It’s a similar herb used in South America. I believe it has anti oxidants and healing qualities, plus caffeine. It doesn’t have that earthy flavor, but more of a pleasant sweet flavor. I had a few samples from “Butiki Teas” that were really nice
I’ll try it.
I think I’m now afraid of yerba mates after this one.
