back to a green tea after drinking blacks….
The dry leaves are like a forest green, curly, toasty
I love this. When brewed…The smell of raw sunflower seeds, green beans and butter….then the final brew tastes like butter, sunflower seeds (raw) and maybe fava beans? Smooth
It’s a beautiful light emerald green color

Wow. I was expecting something more from this tea. I wanted Earl grey. I wanted vanilla. I wanted Creme. I thought I was cheated on all 3 parts of that name. The bergamot was lacking and was too mellow…and the vanilla was almost non existent. Where did the Creme go?
The name of a tea should tell a guy what he’s about to drink & it didn’t

I think I’ve said this before in another Tulsi review. I hope what they say about Tulsi is true. the claims of calming I mean. All the health benefits.
This is a great herbal tea blend. The flavors blend so well. It smells nice. no after taste. Slightly sweet & fruity, but not candy

This just might be be my ‘go to’ (so far, just quote me on this January 2012 day) Earl Grey. I mean, why bother drink a plain Earl Grey after this one? At least, for me anyway. The bergamot is not too strong and the vanilla-creme flavor stands out….but shouldn’t it? If it didn’t, then why make an earl grey Creme Vanilla tea?
It doesn’t need sugar at all…but I guess when i’m feeling it..I could make a strong brew, add some sugar and soy milk and go to town

This is a great Mate. It blends the toasty-nuttiness of pistachios seamlessly with the tangy citrus flavor of lime so well. Not one flavor dominates, but it masks that musky herbal flavor that Mate has, which I find slightly strange.

I’m nervous about white teas, but the ones I’ve tried from 52teas have been really nice and inviting. This is no exception. Lightly sweet, hints of strawberries and lemon. Enjoying it hot on a cold Winter night, but must be awesome cold in the Summer!
It has a great aroma and the flavors are delicate and not too intrusive. A nice departure from blacks & greens..my taste buds can relax a bit just about now.
I’m still weary about trying whites by itself

yum. A nicely flavored green. Not too strong-the pineapple dominates, but I swear I taste & smell guava. Nice. The green tea flavor is present and really nice. Slightly sweet, as well.

So, what can I say? I expected a lot more. This is what I remembered of “tea” before I started on my loose-leaf journey over a year ago. It’s very one dimensional with little character. It’s almost like a flavored water than a tea brewed with bergamot if that makes sense? Alright in a pinch if you really want an Earl grey, but I’d definitely hunt out something better.

I’ve had this tea for a while. I purchases it very early on in my teas adventures when I was still trying out new varieties.
I can only appreciate it now. The dried leaves smell like earth..and I can smell grassy hay. a richness..some kind of herbal nuttiness and yes, chocolate.
It brews a dark and smooth. I kinda reminds me of an English Breakfast, but less complicated. This is a black for people who like coffee without any milk or sugar. I think it would be a great transition.
I’m happy that I’ve trained my palate to enjoy this

Not sure why I never reviewed this earlier. I’m a fan…It was one of my 1st samples from enjoyingtea that I had to get a larger bag. Nice warm and even nice as an iced tea…(I add sugar and some citric acid)
It’s very aromatic. The dried leaves look so nice and green, very vibrant with rose petals.
The green tea flavor is there, but the cherry shines and the rose comes right after. It’s not an “everyday” tea for me, because it’s fairly powerful, but definitely something I like having around.
I’ve had it iced many times in the Summer and it really took over from my Snapple budget ;)

I guess if they said ‘prunes" nobody would want to try this tea as much? prunes are dried plumbs, so they are not lying I guess. The aroma of the dried leaves does yell “Prunes!” more than “pears!” It has a Ceylon base. Kinda boring, not too exciting, but I wouldn’t say it should be ignored. I’m thinking this tea is better suited to be enjoyed during a meal? Maybe something spicy or rich. It would compliment each other nicely.
I don’t hate this tea, but it has not blown me away as maybe it should have.

I’m surprised I had not reviewed this earlier. Probably because Tulsi was very new to me and I kept drinking it. It’s really nice and flavorful. great combinations of flavors. Slightly earthy. Great on it’s own and also nice with a little sugar. I indirectly had it “iced” when it cooled down by itself. Nice. Probably great in the Summer.
I hope Tulsi does everything that it claims to do ;)

I kinda wanted more from this Rooibos than it eventually offered. I wanted a nutty caramel taste that the word Toffee implies. It was lacking in nuttiness. The Rooibos takes center stage and leaves little room for the other flavors trying, but not succeeding, to pop through. It’s definitely worth a try, though.

I’m disappointed in this grape tea. That’s pretty much to strongest flavor and aroma coming from the dried leaves and the brewed product. Grape. Not raisin. I mean, it’s a nice tea, I guess…but when you say “oatmeal raisin” you tend to expect more. I don’t taste anything that implies oats, spices, or butter.
My rating reflects my disappointment.
They should have pushed up the grape flavor and called it a grape black tea

I am drinking this as I’m eating my spicey homemad (vegan, of course) Dal Makhani I made early. I’m downloading updated maps into my GPS. I’m ready.
I was excited for this tea, because I love cranberries,I love black tea & 52Teas usually is on target
The tea itself in the bag is nice to look at with the bits of cranberries and the cranberry aroma is right there. It’s freshly tart with fruitiness, but not overwhelmingly “per-fumy”
It’s pretty nice with a real tartness, that unique cranberry tartness that is tartness mixed with a little bitterness. Sugar can tame this, but I found it not unnecessary.
I’ll drink it a few more times then save it for iced tea! I’m sure it will be great iced. I like this tea,,,the tea flavor comes through and is equally present with the true cranberry flavor.

I really tried liking this tea. I really tried. It smells nice and the apple flavor is there, it’s juicy and refreshing. What’s wrong? That damn cinnamon! It’s too overpowering and pungent that borders on “artificial”. I guess I cannot blame them, they do say Cinnamon first in the title. Maybe I incorrectly assumed what I was going to be drinking? I wanted apple first,…..then a little bit of cinnamon next..maybe vanilla to round it out?
Another review said it was like “drinking Big red Gum only with apples”..that’s perfectly states what this tea is about. If you like “Red Hots” or any spicy hot cinnamon candy then this is for you

It’s nice in a pinch. A descent black tea. not offensive and definitely worth trying if you are at a restaurant and want a black tea.

I love Passion Fruit anything…and now I’m beginning to realize I really enjoy green Rooibos.
It brews a nice golden-orange-brown color. It has the flavor and aroma of passion fruit without all that acidity-which I like, but might be unpleasant in a beverage like this
It’s sweet & fruity, but tame. I will be ordering this.

I like this…Let me just start off saying I don’t know what characteristics a good EB should have, but I’m assuming something quite strong that would take milk & sugar and be great in the morning?
This one fits nicely. Smooth, sweetish, nice. I like it. Aromatic.

I’m going to rate it higher…I think it needed a little bit of sugar to help the creaminess come through. I think Adagio could have put a little more effort in this one…maybe instead of just a Ceylon (AGAIN), they could have maybe blended it with an Assam for maltiness and a touch of vanilla?
I kinda like it. I probably will not drink it on it’s own again. I’m going to hunt down some marshmallow root and add that with some vanilla and experiment. Maybe I’ll add some licorice root?
Ok, my high grade comes from the fact that it’s a good base to add some herbs to it. It’s nice, though. little boring & slightly disappointing, but I’ll still drink tea. It’s Vegan, that’s a bonus

coming home at 6:30 AM from work I was looking around at what kind of tea to try..and perhaps review here on Steepster. I was also pretty hungry, so I started re-heating my Vegan Jamaican Curry Chicken to go along with the Tea.
This is a great black Tea, smooth, slightly smokey and with that delicious maltiness that is great alone and very much complimented my ‘Curry Chicken’
It has a familiar aroma & tastes I’m trying to describe..? Maybe nutty as well? Hmm, it’s an awesome black tea that’s a “stand alone” and for when I’m felling in the mood for a black with a pedigree. It’s something to savor. I will order this one for sure
I brewed it according to Teavivre’s suggestion at 185, but almost went for boiling.
Did I mention the dried leaves were beautiful?
