338 Tasting Notes
I shouldn’t be drinking chai in the middle of July! LOL. The summer seems to have skipped me… Alas. I was excited to see this is my sample, as I do enjoy a spicy rooibos blend, and I do like this! It’s definitely more spicy than sweet, though I can taste the caramel a little. I think I like cinnamon rooibis chai from DT better, but this is a tasty blend in it’s own right – not bad for a tea bag!
What? An EG I haven’t already tried? OMG. Received this as a birthday gift, though I’m only just now getting around to trying it. Mmmmm. Subtle flavours, but they work nicely together, I have to say. This was my first tea from this company, and I look forward to trying the other samples I have from them!
This one kind of reminds me of Grape Expectations – must be the fruit flavour, I guess. I do like this, just not as much as the grape, haha. And I am not getting as much jasmine as I thought there would be, which is also kind of a let down. Maybe I will try this one again later iced, to see if I change my rating.
I don’t give out 100 ratings very often, and I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve ever given one to a maté. I LOVE this tea. I’ve had it both hot and iced and it is freaking delicious . I’ve got a tin at home and at work, and my only downfall will be forgetting that this is a stimulant and drinking it at night, therefore causing me not to sleep, haha. DT, NEVER discontinue this one!
I’m actually surprised at how much how I liked this – I made it hot (not usually my first go-to when trying fruit-heavy teas), and I’m definitely wary of cherries. But I think the cherry flavour is more subtle than I was thinking, and I do love teas with orange. And, again, I appreciate this one being organic. I wish more of the fruit teas had this designation. Looking forward to trying this iced, as well.
Just ordered this to make iced tea with. Usually I don’t go for hibiscus teas, but I’ve been mixing in some plain lemongrass tea (one of my herbals I really want to use up)and the iced teas from that combination seem to be just the right amount of tartness. Glad to hear you like it, I hope I do too :P
I was a little wary on trying this one, as I don’t like the dessert teas as much as the rest, and banana isn’t my flavour of choice, either. As predicted, this was sweet – not as sickly as I was expecting, which was a good thing. That said, while I finished off my mug (I originally brewed it hot, then decided I’d like it better iced), and there’s a little more in the sample I have, I don’t think I’ll be buying any more of this. I can see the tea’s appeal, but it’s just not for me.
Considering this is a plain green, I’m actually realised surprised at how much I liked this! I guess it all has to do with the quality of the leaves and proper steeping methods. Of course, it’s expensive and a limited time only thing, so I think my 10g purchase of this will be all I get. Sigh.
