338 Tasting Notes
Tried this on a whim today, and I’m not sure how I feel about it – there are other straight oolongs I like better than this one, but it definitely wasn’t a bad cup. Maybe it was the milk addition that made this taste slightly off – if I ever have it again, I’ll definitely have to try it plain. As it stands, though, I have to rate it as I make it.
A Christmas present from my aunt! I LOVED this blend – black tea, spicy, a faint taste of orange and cranberry… absolutely delightful for Christmas morning. Definitely going to have to look into more blends by this company.
Day #23 of tea! I was excited to try this one, as I’m looking for another coconut version to try (I’m not as crazy over Cocomint Cream as most people seem to be), and this one was delicious. Nice and creamy on its own, but I added a little milk for an extra oomph. Very tasty on a cold morning – I think I’d also like to try this as a latte.
So it’s not only me that didn’t like cocomint cream! Bought it as a treat from my boxin days sales, took a couple sips and was done! Added a chocolate honey stick and still didn’t make any difference
Day #20 of tea! I love, love, LOVE strawberry teas – this one gets an automatic thumbs up in my book for that. It’s sweet and tart all at the same time and I really wish I hadn’t discovered this so late in the game, as it’s been discontinued. WHY must DT discontinue all of its strawberry blends? (Save for Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait)
Day #17 of tea! A holdover from the fall collection. I’m not quite sure what to make of this one, it’s good, but I think it needs more spices. It’s sweeter than I remembered, though I added milk to my mug this time, so that’s probably not helping my thought process there, haha. This definitely reminds me of fall, though, so it’s a nice nostalgic tea for today.
Day #16 of tea! I don’t get to drink straight white teas very often, because they’re so difficult to find around here. This may be only my second or third one (I know I’ve had White Peony from DT before, but that’s all I’m sure of), so my experiences are limited. It’s got a refreshing taste (a good palate cleanser from the flavoured teas), but it might be a little too much on the grassy side for me – it reminds me of a couple of different green tea blends I’ve had.
Day #14 of tea! And good morning to a mate blend… This tastes almost like hot chocolate – which is good, because it has practically no caloric content to it, haha. I think this would be brilliant as a latte, and I have enough leaves left to make one. This is a very messy tea, though, and why I’m not ranking it higher – I really don’t like having bits floating around in my mug.
