Day #15 of the advent caldendar! This one is a classic among classics, and an excellent go-to comfort tea. English breakfast kind of tastes the same to me regardless of the company that makes it, but it’s always a delight to have.

Again, I’m not normally a chai drinker, but I tried this one on a whim today… and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I think the addition of the peppercorns and the specific type of cinnamon gave this one a different flavour than what I was expecting.

Day #14 of the advent calendar! Another new tasting experience for me, yay! Whatever blend is going on here totally works – because, separately, rooibos, cinnamon and chai are not really my favourite tea ingredients (flavour is almost too bold for my taste). But mix them together in this one, add a couple of other things (which mut be the ‘magic glue’) and a splash of milk and this is absolutely delightful. I actually think I may even need to steep it for a bit longer next time.

Day #13 of the advent calendar! Another old favourite. Black tea, orange, cloves (and I added some milk)… Mmm. I’m not usually a fan of extra sugar in my tea, but I don’t know, I think it works in this one. Also, it’s pretty and sparkly in my mug. :D

Day #12 of the advent calendar! A semi-new taste experience for me, as I’ve only ever had this flavour once before back when it first came out (and then it was iced, not hot like I’m drinking now). I do appreciate the fruity green teas, so I enjoy this one. It’s not my favourite, but I’ll definitely be sad when my tin is empty.

Day #11 of the advent calendar! Another totally new taste for me, I’m pleased to say. I do enjoy the lemon/mint combination this one has (my love for Yellow Dragon will tell you that), through there is all of those other elements that give it a different enough taste from Yellow Dragon. I’m not a huge hibiscus fan, but at least in my mug right now I am tasting very little of it, and it’s not enough to deter my opinion. And I also enjoy the scent of the dry leaves. So, overall, this one gets a thumbs up from me, as well.

Day #8 of the advent calendar (so it’s a couple of days late…). I really like this blend (as I do love my fruit)! My only hesitation from buying it again is the price (curse you, white teas, for being so bloody expensive). This is one I will re-steep, and I actually laced it with leftover Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait this time.

Day #10 of the advent calendar! This one tastes similar to Red Velvet Cake, in my opinion, though less sweet. I don’t drink a lot of black tea blends straight, so I added a splash of milk and to me, the flavour improved. I also enjoy the pineapple flavouring I’m getting out of this, which was unexpected. I’m not a huge fan of cake teas (the sweetness gets to me after a while), but I think I’d like this one occasionally. All in all, a decent choice for a snowy December day.

Day #9 of the advent calendar. Another new taste experience for me and I have to say that I like this green tea much better than the Genmaicha. This one I was able to steep longer, it smells better… Definitely another future purchase.

drank Earl Grey by DAVIDsTEA

Had this as a to-go last night with a splash of skim milk- nothing fancy, just a good ol’ reliable Earl Grey. Not my favourite plain EG, but it’s one I wouldn’t hesitate in getting again when I need that little bit of comfort.
