PLEASE. Don’t try that again. =)

Glad you enjoyed the tea. This is one of my favorites for good reason.

Ricky

Trust me, I don’t plan on it =]

I must have been really tired yesterday. I have a tendency to become really random and babble when I’m tired. It’s sort of like being drunk without the alcohol. =]

You should try half this/half black tea steeped and iced. It’s just WOW! Love it with our RadioactiviTEA.

Awww I wish I would have seen this one when I placed my order last week! I just found out that I REALLY like hojicha tea…well the one I had tasted like a caramal/sugary one, but it was amazing none the less :-)

Ricky

Nothing a PM can’t fix :)

Just send me your address and I’ll send some to your doorstep :)

-Jessica-

Awwww thank you Ricky, you are so sweet :-)

Ochabito

I really like houjicha too and I buy LUPICIA’s Milk Caramel Houji every once in awhile. I like it plain but it’s also really good as a soymilk latte. Just steep the 5 tsp of the leaves in 1 cup of hot water then add 1 cup of milk and heat just before a boil and add a little sugar to taste. It’s really yummy and I think it helps the caramel flavor to work with the toasty houjicha flavor a little better. The weather’s a little warm now but maybe you can try it iced too. I bet it would still be good.

Oh, this tasting note just made my morning! It’s curled into the same springs that my beloved, underrated Golden Spring is, but the flavor profile you describe seems so different. I’m very curious! Gotta add this to the shopping list.

LENA

This is the tea that airport security thought was some type of drug. I love that this tea never gets bitter. It’s a good one!

sophistre

Oh! LOL! I remember that tasting note. That’ll teach me to pay more attention to the photos than I do, eh?

mpierce87

I really miss this one! It reminded me of Dawn but vanilla rather than chocolate.

Ricky

@sophistre I’m sure they look the same after they’ve both been soaked in hot water ;)

@LENA Certainly looks like a new wild drug.

@mrawlins2 Hmm, vanilla. Could have been, but first instinct was cocoa powder.

Suzi

I was so curious about that one when I saw it on the website! Thank you for reviewing it.

Ricky

It’s probably worth it to get it just to see the tiny shrunken orange ;)

Suzi

How tiny are they? In my imagination, they’re the diameter of a quarter. Is that accurate at all?

Ricky

Close enough. More like a half dollar. Wait, no like a dollar coin.

How did your guests like it?

Ricky

They didn’t comment on it at all! I guess I should have just stuck with lipton!

-Jessica-

Oooh is this really heavy on the rose taste or is it light? I’ll have yo get some if it’s a light rosey taste :-D

Harfatum

“The response was of course, lipton. I ignored them…” lol :D

Ricky

Hmmm, heavy or light. Well I don’t mind floral teas, but I’d say it was moderate. The pu-erh stood out a lot more, but I could definitely taste the rose in there.
