6 Tasting Notes
I see some not so great reviews on this one so maybe I’m by myself here but I loved this tea. I don’t really like super strong chai teas, they have too much of a spicy flavor so I think that’s why. I’m so upset that I can’t find it anymore! I’ve been using the Bigelow regular Spiced Chai with some vanilla extract. The only thing I do have to say is that I agree with some people saying that milk cancels out the flavors.
I’m an Earl Grey fanatic and I found this in my cupboard when I had ran out (it was in one of those variety packs) so I decided to try it out. It actually surprised me at how much I liked it! It’s like a less harsh Earl Grey with prominent tones of citrus/lemon. Even if it’s lighter, it’s definitely not ‘weaker’. Steep it for 4-5 minutes and it’s perfect. So nice and refreshing for breakfast with a splash of milk.
I love Earl Grey and wanted to be able to drink it before bed without getting that hit of caffeine so I picked this up one day. It doesn’t have that strong bergamot flavor and it never seems to get as strong as the regular stuff but other than that, I’m pleased.
Earl Grey is my favorite tea and it’s the kind of tea that I always have to have in my house. I got the loose leaf of this and it does it’s job. I really like it cause even if you steep it for a little longer than usual (that’s how my boyfriend likes it), it doesn’t get that tartness that black tea can get when over-steeped. Also, my favorite thing about Earl Grey is the bergamot and this has a definite bergamot flavor. Good to have at that mid-morning tea time with a splash of milk and some sweetener. I’m happy with it and will most likely purchase it again when I run out.
I picked this up wanting something seasonal for Autumn. I love the tangy flavor you get from the rooibos mixed with the spiciness of the chai. I add some vanilla soy milk and ground ginger to it and it’s so calming and yummy before bed. Perfecto.
