Smells fantastic . . . bright, sweet and beautiful! Tastes like those strawberry n’ cream candies and not much else as I’m left with a combination of ho-hum grassy and candy flavor in my mouth. It’s just . . . shallow.
Unfortunately, that seems to be a trend with teas from this company; teas with amazing aroma and zero substance. Very in-your-face and one-dimensional.
I guess I would use this to wean somebody off of full blown flavored teas?
News flash! Apparently they add natural essences to their teas to enhance aroma and flavor! Oh noes!!!
I know some brands do. So does that apply to all milk oolongs? and this one in particular?
it cant be all. honestly ive only had one other milk oolong and it was just an all around better tea, so i can imagine some companies (like this one) use additives to cover up deficiency in quality. unfortunate, really. its funny, though, because when i was browsing their website i got the impression that they weren’t a serious company. i still fell for the special offer but something in me knew they were marketing to the casual, relatively un-knowledgeable novice (especially female). thats not to say their teas are worthless. some are ok. now i feel bad.
