This is a decent black tea. It has a pleasant sweet potato note, but it is rather bitter. It tastes mild enough that it might not stand up to milk well, so if I were to make it again, I would probably steep it for a shorter period of time.

I guess I’m craving lemon today. I had a mug of lemon ginger tea, then grabbed this from my box of samples. It tastes like a pretty straightforward chamomile/lemon myrtle blend. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll probably like this. I’m pretty ambivalent towards the lemony herbs so I think I would have preferred straight chamomile, or chamomile with lemon zest.

Nope. This is unpleasant. It’s unpleasantly sour, and at the same time too sweet, and has an unfortunate mouthfeel. Almost furry. Yuck. I haven’t tried many teas by ESP, but several of them have been memorably unpleasant.

I’m not a huge fan of artificial cherry, which is the dominant flavor here, but I’m still enjoying this. It’s very lightly flavored, and I like the way the cherry plays with the vanilla and green tea. I made this with a couple splashes of cold water mixed with boiling water, and I’m not getting any bitterness from the green tea. I’m only getting a little bit of a floral flavor, and even that fades as the cup cools, but that might be a bit more prominent with a newer sample. This tastes delicate and feminine to me, and makes me think of things associated with tea parties – dainty sweets and floral patterned china, so that’s a bonus. I think it’s worth buying a box to see how I like it over the long term.

This is pretty good. Blackberry is the most prominent flavor. It’s an artificial taste, like blackberry candy rather than the fruit. I don’t taste much from the Sage or Black tea. I like blackberries, but they’re not one of my favorite fruits, so I probably wouldn’t be particularly inclined to keep this on hand. It might be worth trying the decaf version, though.

This tastes like Christmas in a cup. Cranberry, cinnamon, and something floral. It’s maybe a bit artificial tasting and reminds me of potpourri or a candle, but not in a bad way. I like that it actually tastes like cranberry more than Hibiscus unlike several cranberry teas I’ve had before. I’d buy this again, especially around Christmas time.

I made a cup of this with a bit of sweetener and WOW does it hit you like a punch in the face! It has a strong, clear, citrusy taste of lime. I quite like it, but I used to enjoy warheads and I quite like the tartness of hibiscus too, so buyer beware, I guess. Lime, like grapefruit, is a flavor I have to be in the right mood for, but this definitely captures it!

This is good. It’s mild, and just a bit drying, but mint and pine work really, really well together. It’s a nicely balanced blend, too. I like how the flavors come together.

This is an older sample, but I don’t think I have much interest in trying a newer sample after tasting it. It definitely has a strong flavor of cinnamon and apple, but it’s too sweet and has an odd aftertaste that I dislike.

This smelled pleasantly fruity, but I couldn’t stand the taste. It was very floral, but the green tea was very bitter, so it ended up tasting soapy and unpleasant.

Flavors I Dislike: cardamon, elderflower, licorice root, stevia, tulsi; artificial cherry, and almond flavors; bitter smokey, leathery, medicinal, or overly sweet teas

Allergies and Sensitivities: lavender and stevia upset my stomach

Ratings: I rate teas based not on their objective quality, but on how much I personally liked them. I mostly do this because it’s an easy way to tell at a glance if I’ve tried a tea before and if I’d be interested in buying it. It sometimes takes a while to sort through and find out whether or not I’ve reviewed a tea without rating it.
90-100: Truly excellent tea, will buy again, could drink it every day but might save it for special occasions because it’s just that good, will miss it if it’s not in my cupboard.
75-89: Really good tea, would buy. Might be a solid everyday tea, or something that has a strong appeal but doesn’t quite amaze.
66-74: Good tea, would buy, but will also look for better
50-66: Probably wouldn’t buy this tea, but would drink it if offered
33-49: I will never buy this tea, and would probably even turn it down if it was offered to me.
1-32: I hope to never drink this tea again

I currently have a young baby, so while I’m drinking lots of tea, my activity may be sporadic.
