I didn’t care for this one. It tasted like dirt to me.

This is a tasty herbal chai. It’s heavy on the ginger, which I like, but may not be to everyone’s taste. I wouldn’t call it “peaceful” as the company does, I don’t think ginger is a particularly peaceful spice, but it is tasty.

I’ve been wanting to try this ever since I had it in one of the custom blends, so when I saw it in Nichole’s box I grabbed it right away. I like it! It has a really light, creamy, ginger-molasses-honey flavor. The base is extremely mild, but just noticeable. All in all, it makes for a pleasant cup. I might try this double strength with milk at some point.
It’s been over a week since I was last on Steepster. It’s really good to be back! It was mostly a perfect storm of real life issues all cropping up at once. Things should be better this week, although the latter half of the week I’ll be busy getting ready for Easter.

While I can definitely smell the banana and chocolate here, I can’t really taste it. This tastes like slightly sweet black tea and cardboard, with a bit of sourness to it. That makes it sound worse than it is, it doesn’t taste too bad, but I’ll be passing along the rest of it rather than drinking more.
Usually I apply the term “poetic” to reviews that are highly complimentary of the tea, but sour tea and cardboard is a wonderful bit of negative wordsmithing, too :)
I’m glad you enjoyed my description :) The variety of flavors that can be found in tea really fascinates me. I try to describe them to the best of my ability.

I brewed 3/4 of a teaspoon in 4 oz of water (a splash of cold water, the rest boiling) for 3 min. This tastes really odd to me. It smells quite a bit like coconut, but it tastes more like hay with a metallic almost coconut flavor. I don’t think I’m much of a fan, although the aftertaste is better than the flavor itself. I love coconut, but unfortunately I have yet to find a coconut tea I really like. It may be like peach for me, I love the real thing so much that I’m really picky about artificial versions.
Preparation
Coconut teas are really hit or miss for me, though I’ve found a few that I really enjoy that combine coconut with other flavours.
I’ve yet to find a peach flavoured tea that I really enjoy, much as I adore fresh peaches. Natural peach notes in tea are as good as I’ve come across so far.

I’m really getting to be a fan of nut flavored teas. This one is pretty decent – nutty and creamy, but a bit on the artificial side of things, and it could stand to be a bit stronger. I wouldn’t say no to another cup, but I probably won’t be buying this.

I’ve tried the Honeysuckle, Star Anise, and Hibiscus so far today. I didn’t care for the Honeysuckle, but I’m taking some of the Star Anise and Hibiscus. The Star Anise is sweet and tastes like black licorice as expected. This is the second time I’ve tried straight Hibiscus. I used half a teaspoon of flowers with about a third of a teaspoon of sweetener. It was better than the kind I had before – not quite as sour, and with a more complex flavor. I do wish these herbs came with an indication of where they were purchased from, so we would have an idea of where to look for them in the future.
I made mine a latte. . it was much better that way. I still have 3 boxes of it :)
I doubled up with a bag of plain black breakfast tea and that cut the sweetness a bit.
I sent some off to a friend, but I’ll have to try out these suggestions.
